- Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management, data management, or a related field, with a focus on military systems and FMS programs.
- Familiarity with PTC Windchill or similar configuration management tools, data management systems, and document control software.
- Knowledge of SAE EIA-649C and other configuration/data management standards.
- Experience working with military specifications, technical orders, and other official documentation.
- Strong understanding of FMS processes, documentation requirements, and export compliance regulations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other related tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- SECRET or higher security clearance
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMPIC, CMII, ECMA) is a plus.
- Experience with specific ISR systems or platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
- Previous experience supporting FMS contracts is a strong advantage.

Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Configuration/Data Management Specialist to support an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing configuration control, data management, and ensuring that all technical documentation and products related to the ISR system are accurately maintained, compliant with standards, and effectively communicated to stakeholders.
This position requires a deep understanding of configuration management processes, data integrity, and military systems, with a focus on supporting international clients under FMS contracts. The Configuration/Data Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the program’s success by managing data and configuration changes efficiently, minimizing risks, and facilitating smooth communication between all parties involved.
Responsibilities- Oversee configuration management processes for the ISR program, ensuring all technical documents, designs, and systems meet applicable standards and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMP) and Data Management Plans (DMP) for the program, in alignment with contractual requirements and FMS protocols.
- Ensure the accurate and complete identification of items under configuration control, including complete and comprehensive product definition and product operational information.
- Coordinate, monitor, and track configuration changes to ensure all system updates, modifications, and enhancements are properly documented, implemented, and controlled.
- Maintain accurate records of all technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, specifications, and data sheets for ISR systems, in both physical and electronic formats.
- Coordinate with engineering, logistics, operations, and program management teams to ensure timely approval and release of configuration-controlled items.
- Support the preparation and submission of data deliverables for FMS, ensuring compliance with international regulations and the client’s specific requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments of configuration management and data control processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
