Technology - Data Management Technology - Manager

The opportunity

EY's Analytics and Data team is seeking a Master Data Management Manager focusing on helping our clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. This role demands a seasoned professional with an ability to define a master data management design- complemented by a solid track record of system delivery. The individual should be ready to guide clients through the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies.

In this role, you will design and apply comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets. You will perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities and advise on tools and roadmaps to implement them. Additionally, you will articulate information strategies that align with business objectives.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager in Data Management, you will be at the forefront of transforming data into a strategic asset for our clients. You will lead workstream delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Your role will involve engaging with clients daily, identifying opportunities for additional services, and managing engagement economics. You will also provide direction to your team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative solutions.

• Develop solutions to complex problems, including functional and technical design of master data management software for key data domains such as customer, vendor, finance, and materials

• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

• Manage project status and deliverable completion while ensuring effective risk management.

• Guide clients in defining a data governance strategy including aspects such as data quality, data catalog, master data management, analytics use cases, date readiness for AI/ML, and systems alignment to leading ERP and CRM applications.

• Data Integrity Assurance: Implement cutting-edge DQ tools and processes to maintain impeccable data standards throughout the infrastructure

• Analytical Collaboration: Engage in meticulous requirement gathering, interpret Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and collaborate with system analysts to develop comprehensive source-to-target mappings

• Involved in strategic design, implementation, and optimization of data management solutions using Informatica and related tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving data governance and integration across the enterprise

• Data Scrutiny: Conduct thorough examinations of data within source databases prior to migration into data warehouses and generate detailed technical specifications in alignment with BRDs

• Lead multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and client satisfaction

• Activities will include Architecting, pipeline building, RFP responses, creating new solutions and offerings, conducting workshops as well as managing in flight projects

Skills and attributes for success

• The candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of direct involvement with MDM tools including SAP MDG and/or Informatica MDM

• Experience leading delivery teams in the areas of data governance, data management, and related system implementations

• Knowledge of future trends/changes in the industry and the ability to articulate these to customers

• Benchmark design, development, delivery knowledge

• Working knowledge of any of the cloud technologies AWS and Azure.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues and drive business outcomes

• Proven ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts

• Demonstrated expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management.

• Strong understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy.

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage change effectively.

• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree) in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or a related technical or scientific field

• ERP implementation experience including full implementation cycles of SAP implementation with SAP MDG as a component

• Typically, no less than 6 years relevant developer and architect experience in master data management software.

• Strong understanding of Data Governance principles.

• Experience with Enterprise IT Architecture.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing a portfolio of large, complex projects and initiatives within the autonomous mobility space

• A valid driver's license in the US; willingness and ability to travel internationally to meet client needs

• A track record of successful stakeholder engagement and the ability to maintain and grow business relationships

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $125,500 to $30,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is 150,700 to 261,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

We are seeking a Data Engineer with a passion for learning and problem-solving to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data migration processes, integrating data from various sources, and ensuring the secure and efficient handling of both structured and unstructured data. Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Qlik Replicate, and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is highly desirable. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing and securing our data migration and integration workflows.

You Will:

• Collaborate with data architects and project managers to develop comprehensive data migration strategies for structured (e.g., relational databases) and unstructured data (e.g., documents, media).
• Use Qlik Replicate for real-time replication, Change Data Capture (CDC), and data migration from source databases to target environments.
• Ensure data integration across diverse sources (on-premises, cloud, ADLS, databases) into platforms like Azure, AWS, and Microsoft Dataverse.
• Automate tasks such as data validation, transformation, and reconciliation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to support accurate mapping and merging of data formats.

You Have:

Key Accountabilities:

• Builds and codes data solutions using tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and Microsoft Programs.

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Microsoft tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS) to ingest and transform data from diverse sources (Oracle, on-premises systems, cloud services).

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, SQL Server, and BI solutions
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar Azure/SQL certifications preferred
