We are seeking a driven Data Scientist to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will work on high-impact projects that leverage machine learning, AI, and data engineering techniques focused on the Service Solutions and Commercial organization. Responsibilities
+ Support the development of predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and statistical techniques to address key business problems in electrification and supply chain.
+ Assist in building data pipelines and workflows to ingest, clean, and prepare large datasets from various internal and external sources.
+ Collaborate on the development and deployment of analytics solutions using cloud platforms such as Databricks and Azure ML.
+ Develop clear and compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Work within an agile team environment, contributing to code repositories, sprint planning, and solution documentation.
+ Stay up to date with emerging trends in data science, generative AI, and commercial mobility innovation.

Minimum Requirements
+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field and no experience and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. **_OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE_**
We are seeking a skilled, proactive and motivated Sr. Data Scientist with good hands-on experience in data wrangling, transformations, building data-driven insights and statistical models. As part of the Plasma Derived Therapies Data, Digital & Technology (PDT DD&T) team, you will leverage advanced analytics to deliver data-driven solutions and insights that drive impactful business outcomes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Pricing, Marketing, and Forecasting, you will analyze data sets, build predictive models, deploy and operationalize solutions to enhance organizational performance. You will be working closely with fellow data scientists on the team, as well as other team members from the Enterprise Data Science Community of Practice to advance best practices and knowledge sharing.
You will report directly to the Data Science Lead, who will provide strategic direction.
**How you will contribute:**
+ Support the Data Science Lead and team members in solving problems, analyzing data and developing advanced analytics solutions.

+ Understand data and sources of data. Strategize with the IT development team and develop a process to collect, ingest, and deliver data along with proper data models for analytical needs.
+ Interacts with business users to define pain points, problem statement, scope, and analytics business case. Develop solutions with recommended data model and data science techniques.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business operations and decision process.
+ Support business solutions and implementation by providing required analytical insights that help shape the solutions design and improve customer experience.

+ 5+ years of solid experience in statistics, quantitative methods (e.g. math modelling, simulation, etc.) and AI/ML/Data science experience in Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, technology companies or relevant regulated industries.
+ Solid understanding of applied statistical and math modeling, and ML techniques (e.g. Clustering, Classification, Regression, Dimensionality Reduction, Ensemble Methods, Natural Language Processing.
+ In depth experience in Python, PySpark, or R for data curation, transformation, analysis, modeling, and visualization tasks.
+ Experience in a matrix organization collaborating with different teams including data engineering, enterprise architecture, platform architecture, and other application teams.
