As aData Solutions Specialist you will play an important role in the support and maintenance of our relationship with retailers and brand customers. You will help manage our customers variable data for printed labelling including price/size tags as well as care and content labels including RFID and brand protection solutions. The work involves cooperation with global production locations, IT teams and automation specialists to ensure the smooth operation and improvement of online ordering, production and information solutions.Together with colleagues from our commercial organisation, you will be part of a customer focussed team dedicated to understand, develop and satisfy our customers needs and requirements.

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Function as a primary and direct point of contact for retailers and brand customers as well as our production locations around the world

Provide guidance to customers on optimal solutions preparing Statement of Work documentation including functional and data requirements for programme design, schedule, and implementation

Investigate and resolve customer and production issues through the use of systems or communication with production sites and various support teams

Lead calls with IT, Commercial, & Operations teams to ensure all requirements are understood and fulfilled

Work together with internal teams to help ensure solutions and amendments are implemented using agreed tools, systems and processes

Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Build and maintain data information in our internal systems and our online ordering solution.

Collaborate with Operations teams and provide training to enable effective roll out and ongoing troubleshooting to resolve issues

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of various data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable business terms.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Information About the role:

We are seeking a Sr. Data Solutions Analyst to join the digital data services team at Crum & Forster. As a Data Solutions Analyst, you will play a crucial role in turning complex data into actionable insights for the Surplus & Specialty Team by designing and developing data solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in conceptualizing, developing, and documenting data solutions using complex SQL functionality.

What you will do:
  • Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
  • Conceptualizing and implementing ETL processes within Snowflake using Procedures, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, etc.
  • Supporting Data Analysts with building high performing queries to be used for reporting.
  • Working with other departments to provide data solutions (Data Marts, Ad Hoc Queries, etc.) that meet user requirements.
  • Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Communicating with all levels of the organization to design and develop data solutions
  • Utilizing JIRA to track and manage the progress of tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to weekly sprints.
What you will bring to C&F:
  • Bachelors in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of extensive work experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, etc.).
  • Experience developing solutions (procedures, functions, views, ETL processes, etc.) using complex SQL concepts.
  • Knowledge of techniques used for query efficiency (Time & Cost).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey data insights and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Ideal Candidate will have experience developing queries, procedures, functions, and tasks within Snowflake
  • Desired skills:
