Data Storage team is managing Storage solutions for both structured and non structured data and we are transitioning into a Cloud based Storage solution provider. The Maps Data Platform Storage team builds and maintains the foundation that powers Apple Maps. We are responsible for the storage and processing infrastructure that handles petabytes of map data, enabling real-time and batch updates for high-performance access across Apple’s diverse ecosystem.
As an Engineer on our team, you will (among other things):

Create and deploy scalable storage solutions for Maps data for both real-time and batch access

Implement foundational platform components to support Generative AI-based multi-agent systems

Responsibilities

Partner both directly and independently with a wide array of partners to iterate on our platform offerings

Minimum Qualifications

Summary:
The Engineer, Storage and Data Protection is responsible for the design, implementation, support and maintenance of storage and data protection solutions critical to healthcare operations including patient care, clinical applications, and administrative functions for The Guthrie Clinic (TGC). This role ensures high availability and performance for storage arrays and data protection environments across the network. The Engineer collaborates with IT teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders to align storage solutions with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Experience:
- Preferred three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in implementing and managing SAN, NAS and cloud storage environments in an enterprise environment; healthcare experience preferred.
- Highly experienced information systems professional with a strong technical background and proven track record of accomplishments in a large, complex multi-level organization .
- Expertise in storage technologies (e.g., Dell EMC, Pure Storage, IBM, NetApp) and protocols (e.g., iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, SMB) .
- Knowledge of RAID configurations, snapshots and tiered storage.
- Proficiency in backup and recovery tools (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik) and cloud storage platforms (e.g., Azure Blob Storage).
- Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (e.g., VxRail, VMware vSAN).
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for storage and backup management.
