Day-To-Day:
Insight Global is seeking a Data Warehouse Engineer for one of our largest clients. They will be responsible for analyzing end-user data warehousing requirements, promoting awareness, and understanding of the data available in the data estate, defining and implementing data quality assurance processes, and assisting in the creation of standard data architecture, including dimensional model design. They will be working with stakeholders to build and enhance current and future data warehousing, ETL, and dimensional modelling solutions. They will also have to monitor and maintain end-to-end dataflows to ensure maximum up-time and accuracy of data assets while also troubleshooting and resolving end user reported discrepancies and issues. This role requires the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, agile environment, possessing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The Engineer works in a constantly evolving hybrid cloud environment and is responsible for maintaining and upgrading skills through ongoing training and self-study. Effective communication with team members and the ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities are essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the design and development of the architecture for all data warehouse components to include; tool integration strategy, source system data ETL strategy, data staging, movement and aggregation, information and analytics delivery and data quality strategy
- Responsible for the design and implementation of data storage strategies and techniques as well as data warehouse health monitoring and security mechanisms
- Accountable for all capacity planning activities in regards to both the data warehouse and related analytical platforms
- Works with enterprise business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements
- Solves complex technical problems related to business intelligence tools, databases and ETL tools.
- Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the business user community
- Designs and coordinates a curriculum for coaching and training business end users on how effectively and efficiently utilize business intelligence tools
- Develops data and information quality metrics
- Researches new technology and develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions

Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and four years of progressive Information Technology experience
- Two years experience as an Data Warehouse Engineer or equivalent position responsible for analyzing, compiling, programming and writing specifications in a business intelligence role
- Demonstrated knowledge with one or more business intelligence tools (e.g. Teradata, Unica, SAS, Cognos) and ETL tools (e.g. Informatica)
- Obtain and maintain at least one or more applicable gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions

- Design and develop data analysis and reporting solutions and perform system and data analysis.
- Utilize Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.

This is a hybrid position working 4 days per week at the office in Smithfield, RI and 1 day per week from a home office within commuting distance to Smithfield, RI. Position requires less than 5% of time spent on domestic travel.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field and 1 year of experience as a developer working within Microsoft SQL Server on stored procedures, user defined functions, triggers, views, and indexes.
Must have: (I) During experience required above, must have had exposure designing relational database structures and designing and developing data analysis and reporting solutions for healthcare and/or insurance industry clients; (II) Background using (a) System Development Life Cycle, (b) Project Management Techniques, (c) Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS, (d) XML, (e) EDI, and (f) Power BI; (III) Track record demonstrating strong systems analysis, problem solving, and design skills; (IV) Strong verbal and written communication skills; (V) Proven leadership skills; (VI) Excellent customer service skills; (VII) Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; and (VIII) Availability to work after hours and/or weekend when needed.
