**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide analytical support to the Labor Relations' senior executives including project planning and management, coordinating initiatives and special projects, and fiscal management
+ Collaborate with Labor Relations executives and production stakeholders throughout the Studio to assess cost impact of potential bargaining initiatives
+ Develop presentations from conceptual information to completion for senior executives. Collaborate with DETV counterparts to present TWDC-wide analysis
+ Build and maintain model to forecast residuals by guild for DTC films and series. Analyze residuals impact of various content distribution strategies
+ Manage direct-to-consumer analytics reporting by partnering with DTC content planning & analysis teams

**Required Education & Skills** :
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Applied Analytics or similar field; advanced degree preferred

The hiring range for this position in California is $152,800.00-$186,600.00 per year. Our client, a very well capitalized, private equity backed company that is in high acquisition mode with a number of current nationwide targets, is recruiting for their Manager of Technical Accounting and Deal Analysis to join their world class team. Based in the Washington, DC area, this is a ground floor opportunity for a talented Technical Accounting Manager to take their career to the next level quickly with a great amount of career runway as this company rapidly builds their finance team and overall infrastructure. This newly created Manager of Technical Accounting position will work with a tenured Controller support their talented CFO closely. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment, where your skills in public accounting, business combinations, and financial reporting will be highly valued. This role will oversee the preparation of opening balance sheets for acquisitions, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, and support the Controller in various technical accounting tasks.
In addition, this role will provide accounting leadership and technical guidance for the corporate team and their acquisition integrations. Duties for this this exciting Manager of Technical Accounting and Deal Analysis position will include the following:
- Supporting ongoing acquisitions including preparation of opening balance sheets and support technical accounting matters related to the transaction
- Performing financial analysis to support deal structuring, including purchase price allocation and post-transaction adjustments.
- Calculating working capital by entity and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, such as ASC 805 for business combinations.
- Supporting the Controller's group with account reconciliations and accounting for intercompany transactions.
- Compiling cash forecasts and reporting relating to acquisitions
- Assisting with the maintenance of technical accounting standards such as ASC 805, 606 and 842
- Supporting the continued implementation of their new ERP systems
- Preparing workpapers and month-end reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and select income statement accounts.
- Identifying and valuing tangible and intangible assets, liabilities, and goodwill.
- Assisting to integrate acquired entities into the consolidated financial reporting systems
- Support the company's annual audits and tax filings.
