Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our clients throughout the entire design and build process. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all design elements align with the client's vision and JCH’s high standards of quality and excellence. Responsibilities:

  • This is a leadership role with the ability to guide and conduct selection review meetings with our clients, designers and architects at our showroom or job sites, guiding them through the selection process with expertise
  • Translate client selections into detailed selection reports that capture all approved choices, specifications, and any necessary supporting documentation to ensure accurate communication with the project team and trade partners
  • Ensuring selections are made in a timely manner, information received is complete, and the selections are signed off on from the client.
  • Collaborate with internal project managers, and the director of purchasing to ensure selections are properly integrated into the project schedule and delivered on time
  • Collaborate on design and detail specifications for the kitchen, bathrooms, custom cabinetry, and built-ins to achieve cohesive and luxurious aesthetics
  • Create accurate digital drawings, including cabinetry layouts, tile layouts, and plumbing layouts, ensuring precise execution of design plans
  • Coordinate and document change orders requested by clients, ensuring clear communication, updated project timelines, and accurate cost adjustments with all relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrate confidence and professionalism in conveying thoughts and ideas to clients, ensuring clear understanding and alignment
  • Comfortable walking jobsites and interacting with construction teams as needed
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and administrative coordination, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, construction management or a related field
  • A minimum of 2-6 years of interior design experience, preferably custom residential home building experience
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Sketch Up, Revit, Excel, Word, or similar platforms to create accurate drawings and layouts
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry, kitchen and bath remodeling and space planning
  • Availability to work from the office 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday during normal business hours

Work Schedule: 

This is a hybrid position in one of our offices (Not NY). The role requires working on-site 4-days per week and allows for 1 remote workday each week. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating in person with team members while also managing independent tasks remotely.
