**Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician**
**Job Description**
The QA Technician ensures that the plant complies with food regulatory requirements and reports any deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety, quality, and defense.
**Responsibilities**
+ Monitor production conditions, specifications, process controls, and tracking controls.
+ Maintain wash line concentrations.
+ Verify checks on existing production control forms and ensure they meet all program requirements.
+ Collect environmental swabs, air sampling dishes, and lab retain samples.
+ Oversee all Critical Control Points (CCPs) online and take corrective actions when necessary.
+ Check pH levels, temperature, and brix of each juice batch to ensure they are within product specifications.
+ Document Facility Operation Inspections & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
+ Perform Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOPs) verification and ATP swabs.
+ Track non-conforming products and their dispositions.
+ Conduct Pre-Operational inspection procedures of all production/bottling equipment and facility.
+ Perform equipment calibrations and make necessary adjustments.
+ Assist with testing food products for compliance with standards and regulations.
+ Conduct inventory checks for ATP swabs, charts, forms, etc.
+ Ensure volumes, torques, and bottle weights are within product specifications.
+ Complete and enter all pallet tags and CCP forms into the database for production and bottling.
+ Record cycles and verify that all High-Pressure Processing (HPP) settings and information are correct.
+ Perform metal mesh and magnet inspections.
+ Verify production lot codes, labels, mold numbers, and packaging are within product specifications.
+ Perform various lab duties as necessary.
+ Conduct shipping and receiving verification.
+ Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
+ Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in quality assurance (1-2 years preferred).
+ Experience in the food industry (1-2 years preferred).
+ Knowledge of food safety regulations is preferred.
+ Proficiency in Excel data entry.

+ 4-8 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or product testing; or 2-6 years of experience with a Master's degree.
+ Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining QA/QC systems for technical products or systems.
+ Strong understanding of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods used to assess product quality and reliability.
+ Experience conducting integration, system, and performance testing.
+ Familiarity with test planning, test execution, and troubleshooting across product lifecycles.

Acts as a facilitator and mentor for Department teams related to performance improvement. Authorizes and makes decisions on recommendations and innovative solutions. Serves as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Professional Staff quality and peer review activities. Assists in development and performance of educational activities as related to Quality Improvement, Accreditation requirements, and Resource Utilization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • 5 years Clinical experience.
  • 5 years Hospital experience in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare or Business Administration.

Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our Euclid, Ohio headquarters operation. The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in conducting scheduled Internal Quality Audits to determine if the internal quality system is effective.

What You Will Do

The QA Technician will support various functions and activities to include covering internal ISO audits as well as other external bodies such as NIOSH. In addition, you will: 


•    Plan and conduct internal ISO9001 Quality Audits according to schedule; work closely with all departments inclusive of ISO9001
•    Use audit guidelines, checklists and prior audit results to determine audit paths
•    Gather and document objective evidence during audit interview process; determine whether quality activities comply with specifications, procedures, and standards
•    Record and document audit results in the company’s online audit system and review the results of the audit with the Department Manager of the area being audited.   
•    Complete corrective action determinations including associated risk assessments
•    Draft corrective actions and action items in a clear and compelling way for use by others
•    Conduct verifications of corrective actions and action items including verification using objective evidence 
•    Guide, support and answer third party quality audits and surveys including all required correspondence     
•    Perform work center, finished product and process audits, as required
•    Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, Work Instructions Specifications and Plant Rules and Regulations that are associated with the performance of this job
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
•    Promote an atmosphere of continuous process and employee improvement.
 

Education & Experience Requirements


•    Technician III: Vocational training and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; OR  high school diploma/GED with 7+ years experience in a relevant work environment. 

•     Technician IV: Vocational training and 8+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; OR  high school diploma/GED with 10+ years’ experience in a relevant work environment. 

•    Additional training and or knowledge in the quality auditor field and procedures is desirable

•    Computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.
•    Experience in developing and maintaining records and to follow projects through to conclusion
•    Ability to obtain ISO 9001 Auditor Certification
•    Ability to review and evaluate specifications, procedures, and processes
•    Ability to communicate effectively and cross-functionally in production, support and corporate areas on a regular basis. 
•    Self-motivated and exhibit the ability to work with minimal supervision
•    Must understand the Quality Policy and how it relates to this job
•    Must understand the relevance and importance of the quality activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.
•    Capable of frequent standing and walking and lifting up to 60 lbs
•    Must have excellent attendance, safety and work record
