OVERVIEW

Assists engineers in the planning, design, development, fabrication, and testing of products, equipment, and processes for the Less Lethal product line. Uses engineering tools (CAD, engineering analysis, prototype fabrication techniques) to develop and test products from concept to production. Collect and prepare data for use in proposals. Design manufacturing process to meet cost, quality, safety, and schedule requirements. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both in house and vendor processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Engineers on developmental projects and produce prototype samples of varying degrees of complexity and material types
• Assist in product testing and recording data
• Analyze and evaluate results during and after product testing
• Provide interactive feedback to engineering team on samples and/or issues
• Compile testing data and reports - Conduct machine maintenance, as required
• Act as product liaison between development and manufacturing
• Support ISO 9001 QMS
• Perform other duties consistent with the position as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-3+ years' experience as an engineering technician in supporting mechanical design engineering efforts in a hands-on product development, manufacturing, or test and evaluation environment
• CAD and/or Solid Works experience
• Machining /fabrication experience
• Knowledge of machine shop equipment and procedures
• Proficient in various machine operations
• Experience with experimental data and writing technical reports
• Good understanding of fundamental engineering and physical principles
• Comfortable with firearms and explosives - Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel)
• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
• Must be able to work independently with minimum support from engineers

OVERVIEW

Seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Engineer with a focus on perimeter defense systems to operate on a larger Global Cyber Defense team. In this position, you will leverage several best-of-breed technologies while collaborating closely with various teams within our Security organization, and partner technology teams to safeguard digital boundaries. You will join a team of high-performing Cyber Defense engineers who are continuously striving for the highest standards to ensure the security of the firm's data, network, and systems with the overall goal of preventing threats before they enter the network.

ROLE SUMMARY AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engineer and maintain several perimeter Cyber Defense platforms that cover: Web Security, Email Security, Network Security.
• Leverage event data within a SIEM to analyze, drive risk reduction activities and assist with larger troubleshooting efforts.
• Articulate and translate cyber security and technology risks to effectively communicate remediation.
• Possess the ability to autonomously execute tasks and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule

REQUIREMENTS
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Cyber Security, Network Security, or related information technology field.
• Deep knowledge and expertise of one or more infrastructure technologies: Next-Generation Firewalls, Web Proxies, Email Security Gateways and/or Web Application Firewalls.
• Comprehensive knowledge of core infrastructure capabilities: operating systems, networking, identity, and access.
• Deep understanding of IPv4, TCP/IP, low-level networking, protocols, and TCP/UDP ports.
• Working understanding of operating within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience leveraging a SIEM, such as Splunk, to facilitate engineering and operations efforts.
• Excellent attention to detail, and strong change management skills.

PREFERRED
• 5+ years of direct experience maintaining and engineering perimeter Cyber Defense systems in the Financial Services industry.
• Experience with operating on a Global Cyber Defense team, working independently.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex information clearly.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, PCNSE or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

In this role, you will be a crucial member of our Blue Team, collaborating closely with Red Team and Cybersecurity experts to enhance defense strategies and ensure system accreditation. This position is vital for achieving high cyber readiness and maintaining robust security operations.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award, anticipated in December of 2025.

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret clearance is required, and US Citizenship is essential to qualify for this clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system hardening across various Operating System platforms.
• Monitor and evaluate system and network security in line with DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Utilize MITRE ATT&CK and/or MITRE D3FEND frameworks to bolster threat detection and response.
• Conduct in-depth threat intelligence analysis and offer actionable recommendations.
• Carry out vulnerability assessments using tools like ACAS.
• Analyze vulnerability reports and create effective remediation plans.
• Implement vendor patches and make configuration updates on both Linux and Windows systems.
• Design, establish, and enforce security controls across all components.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of professional experience in system hardening, networking, and application of DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Expertise in using MITRE frameworks and conducting threat intelligence assessments.
• Proficiency in vulnerability assessments, particularly utilizing ACAS.
• Background in remediating vulnerabilities through patching and configuration changes.
• Experience in designing and implementing security controls on diverse platforms.

Required Certifications:

• One of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (Associate), CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is required.

Compensation: Annual compensation is projected between $100,000 - $160,000, reflecting experience, education, security clearance, and skills.
