Defense Manufacturing Technician

Praxis Resources, a rapidly growing custom manufacturing company that has been in operation for 28 years, is seeking a Defense Technician Specialist to join our team.

Manufacturing technicians are responsible for taking a project from the schematic stage to a complete project build. Build projects include but are not limited to: cables, breakout boxes, and chassis. IPC-620 and/or J-STD training a plus, technician should have working knowledge of soldering, striping wires, tinning wires and crimping contacts on wires. Technicians should be able to tie and sleeve wire harness using different methods, potting and molding experience a plus.

This position is on-site and requires employees to be timely in attendance.

Qualifications:

Desirable applicants should have the following:

· A strong mechanical and/or electrical background; experience in building cables and/or electronic & electromechanical assemblies is a plus.

· Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-620 and J -Standard

· Ability to solder connectors and wiring, crimp contacts on wires and strip and tin wires

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints

· Ability to regularly inspect work and keep detailed information concerning builds

Finally, Candidates should be detail-orientated and willing to continually improve workmanship and technical ability.

Successful applicant will be trained to serve as a subject matter expert on IBCS, conducts formal training to military or defense clients and supports the development and evaluation of military training and doctrine. Provide instruction in a classroom environment to the end user as well as field services in support of troubleshooting IBCS SW and HW. Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of program technical products, software (SW) and hardware (HW) systems. **Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Deliver IBCS military training, on site, to the end-user (US Army Soldiers)
+ Supports training material developers and writers with review and validation / verification of training materials
+ Participates in doctrinal development, embedded training scenario development, practical exercise development, test question development and after-action review and analysis
+ Assist with training event metrics such as student enrollment, student demographics, student attendance, student pass/fail percentages, suggested improvements to the course materials and training aids, etc.
+ Assist in planning , preparing, and execution of IBCS military training
+ Provides feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user comments

**Basic Qualifications**

Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has a challenging career opportunity for aSenior Missile Defense Systems Analystwho will define and evaluate Missile Defense System (MDS) capability trade space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable. This individual will play an important role on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract supporting the Missile Defense Agency.
Responsibilities:
+ Scopes, executes, and documents the results of MDS architecture trade studies as a member of the Architecture Design Team
+ Supports the development of Initial Requirements Documents, Architecture Requirements Packages, and other systems engineering artifacts related to the MDS, as applicable
+ Supports the development of alternative architecture concepts addressing projected capability gaps, real-world threats, and intelligence community threat estimates
+ Leads and coordinates the development of architecture requirements, development, and analysis in support of Service and Combatant Commands (CCMD) needs
+ Leads, develops, and coordinates MDA vision and strategies to support the Warfighter, including coordinating with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, CCMDs, Intel Community (IC), Other Governmental Agencies (OGA), national labs, industry, and international partners
+ Supports the Architecture Design Team to scope and define trade study methodologies, measures, and deliverables
+ Supports activities of the Architecture Design Team; provides, develops, and delivers briefings addressing applicable trade study efforts; provides comment and review to work products developed by other Working Group members
+ Coordinates future technology requirements across the breadth of MDA and with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, the IC, and OGAs
+ Coordinates trade study-related activities and work products with teammates across the Architecture Design Team and external MDA stakeholders as applicable
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Required:
+ Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree and 20+ years of relevant experience
+ Active Secret clearance
+ Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures
+ Possesses detailed knowledge of the MDS to include Command and Control networks
+ Ability to accomplish duties with minimal guidance
Desired:
+ Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
+ Preferred Navy veteran that held a position such as an Aegis Weapon System EDO or Joint Interface
+ Control Officer, or alternatively an Army/Air Force veteran who understands MDS Elements such as THAAD/LTAMDS/Sentinel/ PATRIOT/GMD
+ Understands the MDS technically more than what we typically think of as an "Architect" in the Systems Engineering sense

Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has a challenging career opportunity for aMissile Defense System Architecture Engineerwho will support the Missile Defense Agency's Advanced Architectures Design (MDA/CAD) office working to define the future of Missile Defense through development, analysis, and communication of future Regional Missile Defense Architectures. This individual will coordinate and assist the development of joint architectures addressing regional missile defense against ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile threats to protect US Warfighters and allies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Develop and coordinate comprehensive regional missile defense courses of action (COA) for future architectures to defeat evolving threats.
+ Prepare and deliver briefings and supporting data in support of ARPs.
+ Assist with identifying, defining, and prioritizing missile defense architecture gaps, challenges, needs, opportunities, and potential system mitigations.
+ Develop regional missile defense Blue Force and Red Force laydowns as well as intel-informed raid scenarios using a pacing threat set.
+ Develop measures of effectiveness and architecture needs statements and coordinate iterative analysis on these architectures.
+ Analyze and document the performance of architecture options and future concepts implemented in these scenarios.
+ Assist in developing top-level architecture needs documentation to support requirements development and the acquisition of new capabilities and prototypes.
+ Develop and review technical memorandums, white papers, and briefings supporting findings and conclusions of analyses.
+ Support working groups and technical interchange meetings to coordinate across the community a variety of topics to include future concepts, architecture needs, and data exchange.
+ Provide regular input in support of government leadership to reports and weekly charts involving task status, action item tracking, risks, and schedule.
+ Plan and execute projects involving prime contractors, other MDA offices, and FFRDC/UARC partners.
+ Support the evaluation of future architecture elements and technology enablers that support ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile defense.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ BA/BS in the STEM field
+ Active Secret Clearance
+ Minimum of 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
+ Able to work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems
Desired:
+ Working knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) components, architectures, and concepts
+ Familiarity and experience with MDA and/or other complex MDS Elements
+ Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes including Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering strategies
