Our client, a disruptive innovator in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Blockchain Developer with a specialization in smart contract development. This exciting role, based in **Tampa, Florida, US**, allows for a hybrid work arrangement, offering flexibility while fostering team collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and cryptography, with hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polygon). You will play a crucial role in designing and building core components of our decentralized applications, contributing to the evolution of our tokenomics, and ensuring the integrity and security of our on-chain protocols. Responsibilities include writing high-quality, well-documented, and thoroughly tested Solidity (or relevant language) code, participating in code reviews, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, and staying abreast of the latest advancements in blockchain technology and DeFi protocols. Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions, cross-chain interoperability, and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) is highly desirable. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The ability to work independently, take ownership of complex projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain and smart contract development, is required. Proven experience contributing to open-source blockchain projects or a strong portfolio of deployed smart contracts is a significant advantage.
