CORT Tradeshow and Events is **hiring** **immediately** for a full-time Delivery Assistant in Woodridge, IL!
The Delivery Assistant works collaboratively as part of the Operations team and alongside our delivery drivers. You will be responsible for loading, delivering, and installing furniture at Tradeshow and Event venues. Help us create memorable celebrations by delivering furniture to festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl!
**Pay:** $18/ hour depending on experience
**Schedule:** Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business, weekends are required
**This CORT Events location covers 12 states. Our Delivery Assistants will have the opportunity to travel regionally and will help with the set-up of events throughout the area. 80% of your time is expected to be spent on the road and assisting with deliveries / set up while the other 20% is expected to be spent assisting with general warehouse duties. Hotel and meal per diem is covered during the out-of-town deliveries.**

**Responsibilities**
+ Unload and install furniture at venues according to floorplans or instructions
+ Interact face to face with our clients and provide a positive customer experience
+ Repair, clean, or replace damaged furniture onsite as needed
+ Participate in pre-delivery meetings to ensure a successful event delivery
+ Assist with loading/unloading furniture in the warehouse pre or post event as needed
**Qualifications**
+ Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime
+ Must pass drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment. CORT also participates in the E-Verify program.

* Operate the delivery vehicle, when needed, in a safe and courteous manner.
* Delivery and set up furniture to customers' homes.
* Maintain high performance levels by keeping within the customer delivery time window.
* Accurately communicate and document the delivery transaction using either a mobile device or the paperwork provided.
* Unload or load product as needed at customers' homes, stores, or warehouse.
* Assist in the warehouse or showroom if needed.
Earning Opportunity:
* Driver Base Pay is $18.00 and up based on experience.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years or older.
* No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
* Must have a current Driver's License and have a clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
* Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout your shift.
* Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
* Must be able to pass background requirements and drug screen including THC testing.
Work Environment:
* Driving or riding in Havertys delivery trucks: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable.
* Shifts start at 7:30 am and work until completion. Routes may run 4 (10/hr +) or 5 (8/hr +) days per week but not on Sundays.
Physical Demands:
* Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
* Must be able to move 150 pounds, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling furniture.
* The role involves driving, going in and out of customers' homes, and properly handling materials.
