Overnight Hazmat Delivery Courier - Contract Opportunity

We have maintained these strict standards and adherence to time-critical deadlines throughout our network. 1099-contractors drive the delivery of time-sensitive and life-saving therapies and diagnostics to our customers.

Contractor Sought
Associated Couriers is looking for a dependable and professional CDL with Hazmat contractor courier for the following:

• Routed Deliveries - Varying routes that have more of a set schedule to them. **NOTE: routes may change unexpectedly based on customer needs
• STAT/On-Demand - Last-minute pickups and orders dispatched from a route manager or customer
• Backup/Standby - Fill-in for route voids

Services Sought
For this contract, you will be picking up and delivering life-saving radiopharmaceutical therapeutics. All freight is to be delivered to their delivery locations; if there are any questions or issues at the delivery point, you would need to call you Dispatch contact.

Coverage Sought
Reliable independent contractors with a 2015 or newer Large SUV, Minivan, Transit Van or Cargo Van - no small cars or pick up trucks - and availability to run orders:

Sunday 5pm-3am
Monday 8pm-3am
Tuesday 8pm-3am
Wednesday 8pm-3am
Occasional backup coverage may be sought on Thursday if the routed carrier assigned is unable to make deliveries.

Contractor Commissions

• Paid in one or more of the following ways: per mile, per route, per stop (plus variable fuel surcharge in some of our markets)
• Paid weekly through our third-party administrator Openforce
• Specific commission details can be discussed later in the pre-contracting process
• On occasion you may be required to stay in a hotel to meet DOT regulations of hours. Associated Couriers will reimburse contractors $100 for hotel stays regardless of the driver's out of pocket expense.

Requirements for Contract

• Be at least 21 years of and no older than 75
• Have valid and current CDL Class B, or C; A would also be considered
• Have valid and current DOT Hazmat Endorsement
• Have valid and current DOT Med Card
• Attentive to detail
• Have available hours of service to cover the required availability noted above for this contract
• Live within 25 miles to zip code 64106
• Own a reliable and registered Large SUV, Minivan, Transit Van or Cargo Van - no small cars or pick up trucks - that would be used for this contract (2015 or newer)
• Have and maintain state minimum requirements for bodily injury and property damage as primary auto insurance
• At your choice: maintain your own workers' compensation insurance or participate in the Occupational Accident Insurance program
• Be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and online training modules
• Have a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last three years
• Have an android or iOS smartphone to use for GPS and order scanning
• Supply a cooler with reusable ice-packs to transport temperature controlled specimens
• Willing to drive in inclement weather to service our customers
• Adherence to customer required professional appearance standards:
  • Solid white and/or royal blue polo shirt
  • Solid colored pants (no athletic wear or sweatpants)
  • Comfortable shoes/boots (no flip-flops, high heels, sandals, etc)
  • Driver badge (supplied by Associated Couriers) prominently displayed

For this contract, you will be picking up and delivering pharmaceuticals, medical therapies, generators, and medical supplies using your own Minivan or Cargo Van

Coverage Sought
Reliable independent contractors with a Minivan or Cargo Van and availability to run orders:

Sunday 6am to 6pm
St. Louis, Missouri to Big Cabin, Oklahoma (1-4 stops along the way)
Monday through Friday on demand or backup deliveries in the afternoon, evening or overnight but some may be during the day or on weekends. Routes will run to up to five hours one way in any direction.

Contractor Commissions

• Earned in one or more of the following ways: per mile, per route, per stop (plus variable fuel surcharge in some of our markets)

• Be able to consistently lift up to 100 lbs
• Have available hours of service to cover the required availability noted above for this contract

• Own a reliable and registered Minivan or Cargo Van that would be used for this contract (2010 or newer)
• Have and maintain state minimum requirements for bodily injury and property damage as primary auto insurance
• At your choice: maintain your own qualifying workers' compensation insurance or enroll in the available Occupational Accident Insurance program for a weekly
• Sign up with an EIN as a company OR with a US Social Security Number as a sole proprietorship
• Be able to complete contractor-qualifying screenings and online delivery preparation modules
