You’ll thrive here if you are:
- A Board-licensed pediatric dentist
- Efficient and Focused: You effectively manage pediatric patients, striking a balance between speed and quality.
- Confident & Independent: You have confidence in your clinical decisions.
- Community-Driven: You take pride in serving a multi-generational patient population and see your work as meaningful.
- Clear & Direct Communicator: You share feedback openly and work directly with leadership to solve problems.
- Growth-Oriented: You welcome feedback and want to expand your clinical and leadership skills, with future ownership as a possibility.

We are a multi-specialty practice with pediatric and orthodontic care under one roof . You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Provide top-tier pediatric care, including restorative, preventive, and minor surgical treatments.
- Able to efficiently handle shorter pediatric appointments without delaying the schedule.
- Handle diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery at a high clinical standard.
- Participate in multi-specialty case discussions with our orthodontic team.
About the Practice:
At Cumberland Dental Specialists, you’ll work alongside Dr. Ben Chan, an orthodontist and Tufts faculty member of over 10 years, who is deeply committed to community care, education, and practice growth.
Dr. Ben and his family have deep generational roots in the area dating back to when the community embraced his father's family upon their immigration sixty years ago. Dr. Ben grew up seven minutes away from the office, where he built longstanding friendships that have continued into adulthood and developed into engaged and supportive patients. This is an organization where community trust runs deep, and patients return decade after decade, now bringing their children and even grandchildren.
You’ll walk into a full schedule with a large, established patient base and a reputation that ensures high conversion rates for treatment plans. The referral base is strong and well-established, comprising many pediatricians and general dentists. There is also a robust monthly influx of new patients. The team is dedicated, upbeat, and ready to support a doctor who brings professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to excellent care. Working alongside an in-house orthodontist provides opportunities for cross-referrals and collaboration.
This is not a DSO/high burnout setting. Here, you will be part of a practice that balances accessibility for underserved patients with top-tier clinical standards, all while fostering a workplace culture rooted in respect, growth, and shared purpose.
Technology & Tools:
- Digital Scanners (iTero), Nomad X-ray systems, Nitrous sedation plumbed into operatories, integrated ortho-pedo case management, and intraoral cameras.
Practice Culture:
We value professional growth, team collaboration, and delivering outstanding care in a family-oriented environment. Our patients trust us deeply, and we work hard to honor that trust every day.
You’ll be part of a team that values mentorship, high standards, and clear communication, where every doctor has a voice and a clear path forward. The team takes care of each other, as well as the patients, with warmth, openness, and reciprocity. We foster professional and team growth through regular one-on-ones and team meetings. We reinforce interoffice relationships with semiannual group outings to celebrate each other and the office. Whether you dream of long-term associateship or eventual ownership, we want to help you thrive.
Culture of being a multi-generational practice. Examples of community involvement. Semi-annual team bonding activities outside of the office (bowling, escape room, go-kart, cookout). The office operates like a small family, and we have lunch together. They have each other’s backs.
Apply today to take the next step in your career!
