WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Dental Clinic Manager will coordinate daily office operations of the dental clinic and coordinate staff functions related to front and back office duties. Provide training and guidance to staff as needed, manage work schedules, inventory supplies and ensure patient flow and efficiency goals are met.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
- Provides leadership to ensure that the dental clinic operates smoothly and adheres to existing standards and best practices in place.
- Manages weekly work schedules for dental staff including time off requests
- Manages personnel matters relating to the non-clinical dental staff including: employee relations, staffing plan, recruiting and hiring
- Effectively manage the performance of the non-clinical staff and leads regular staff meetings
- Meets or exceeds Dental Clinic Manager's performance metrics including: clinic revenue targets, employee retention percentage and clinic expenses
- Collaborates with the Dental Providers to present clinic staff ideas and concerns
- Manages and purchases dental supplies and maintains dental budget. Interacts with vendors. Oversees repair or replacement of dental equipment
- Orientates new staff members on MSDS usage, location of eyewash stations, fire exit procedures, dental health record procedures, reappointment procedures, location of fire extinguishers, etc.
- Ensures non-clinical staff are adequately trained expected performance standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of related Supervisory experience in dental setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Demonstrate flexibility in staffing and work practices and supports cross training as required
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
- Excellent computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to train, supervise, and support teams
- Must have a current and valid California driver's license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.

Essential Role: Ensures dental clinic quality, service quality, and assists COO with budget constraints to ensure they are maintained in accordance with organizational goals and objectives. Ensures dental clinic flow is established by serving as a liaison between provider needs and dental resources. Provides leadership and manages staff for dental clinics. Provides professional services that complement the provider's role of delivering dental care services at GraceMed Health Clinic, Inc.
Reporting Relationship: The Dental Manager has a primary obligation to the Corporation as a whole and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Supervisory Relationships: The Dental Manager oversees the supervision of the following positions; Dental Assistants and the Outreach Assistants positions. Acts as a resource-point for all dental clinic personnel by; managing and guiding, supervising and suggesting based on established policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervisory
- Works with dental clinic employees as well as educational department to ensure that each employee understands their job description, the desired results associated with their work, and the resources available to achieve the results.
- Interviews and makes decisions for hiring employees for open positions with guidance from the COO.
- Train and develop dental clinic staff with ongoing direction from the COO to ensure they can perform their duties.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Always ensure the department consistently operates in a high-quality manner.
- Tracks time sheets and scheduling and coordinating of staff for all leaves to include but not limited to; PTO requests and FMLA, in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Supervises students for internships/externships and delegates authority and responsibility when and where need is indicated.
- Supervises the GraceMed dental volunteers. Manages the staff and volunteers to ensure effective outreach in Sedgwick County for dental services provided at GraceMed.
- Leads staff meetings.
- Supervises, as required, the staff in the conduct of dental care.
- Provides consistent weekly communication to the COO, ensuring that information, reports, and materials are provided, to clearly describe dental activities and progress toward agreed upon objectives.
- Assist the COO with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment regarding policies and procedures for any public health issues as it pertains to the dental clinic.
- Assist the COO with implementation of OSHA, emergency preparedness, infection control and regulatory compliance for the dental clinic.
- Oversees dental supply inventory.
- Represents GraceMed at functions as requested.
- Serves as primary GraceMed contact for collaborative research projects and grant funding affecting the dental clinic.
- Attends all staff or other special meetings as requested.
- Participates in budget development as it pertains to the dental clinic

- Oversees the coordination of dental orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.
- Available to patients, both directly or through dental staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.
- Provides dental recommendations for patient care (within KDB limitations) when necessary.
- Ensures completion of appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
- Completes all documentation and paperwork within time constraints posed by various entities.
- Ensures compliance with standards, laws and regulations as directed by regulatory and accrediting organizations such as but not limited to: Kansas Dental Board (KDB), Joint Commission, CLIA, OSHA, State and Federal Governments as it pertains to the dental clinic.

- Previous computer experience required.
- CPR certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
- Successful candidate must submit to tuberculosis testing.
Working Conditions:
Dental office environment. Multi-task oriented position including direct patient care may require sitting or standing for long periods. Bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 50lbs) may be required. Must interact with physicians, patients and other office personnel. Must possess socio-economic and cultural sensitivity. May involve contact with angry, upset or ill persons. Will involve potential exposure to blood and body fluids and other hazardous substances. Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to assist with procedures, perform and interpret lab results, and interface with computer. Must have auditory acuity to handle phone calls and extensive patient interaction.

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH) is seeking part-time, non-exempt adjunct clinical faculty members, both general dentists and specialists, to join the predoctoral dental education program. ASDOH is dedicated to educating caring, technically adept dentists who become community and education leaders serving those in need.
Please note that adjunct positions are only filled on an as-needed basis.
Position responsibilities include clinical and preclinical instruction, as well as the provision of direct patient care. Adjunct faculty members will work as part of a team of general dental and specialty faculty in ASDOH's Comprehensive Care Units to provide dental students interdisciplinary clinical experiences in comprehensive patient-centered oral health care including diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment in all phases of general dentistry, and maintenance. Other key expectations include a commitment to diversity, social justice, and promotion of the mission of ASDOH including an atmosphere of respect, collegiality and professionalism.
Requirements
**General Dentists** : Completion of a DMD or DDS degree from an institution accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
**Specialty Dentists** : Completion of an advanced education program from an institution accredited by CODA. DMD or DDS degree from an institution accredited by CODA is preferred, but not required.
**Clinical Experience** : Minimum of three-year clinical practice experience, which may include post-graduate residency.
**Preferences** : Preferences include eligibility for dental licensure in Arizona; board certification/eligibility in the specialty; experience in academics, clinical research and clinical practice in the community desirable.
