General Summary: Middlesex Community College is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time position as a Dental Laboratory Technology faculty member. Our part-time faculty are esteemed professionals committed to providing quality education to our diverse student body and community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide didactic and laboratory instruction in the area of complete dentures. Didactic instruction involves teaching the principles of fabrication of complete dentures to students during lecture sessions. Laboratory instruction involves providing mentorship, supervision and instruction to students as they develop their skills in the fabrication process of complete dentures during laboratory sessions.
- Provide ongoing interactive formative feedback and summative evaluation of student progress during each session and throughout the semester.
- Document feedback and evaluation of students comprehensively and in a timely manner to ensure students are constantly apprised of their progress and need for development.
- Maintain currency in complete dentures fabrication, laboratory teaching and educational methodology, and dental laboratory technology education through participation in continuing education and professional development.
- Utilize assessment data to improve teaching performance as evidenced by the evaluation process.
- Demonstrate professional knowledge, skills, attitudes, and standards of conduct at the college, classroom and laboratory setting with students and colleagues.
- Implement all dental laboratory technology program policies as well as applicable college policies and demonstrates ethical and professional behavior.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Technician (CDT) by the National Board of Certification in the area of Complete Dentures.
- Associate's Degree in dental laboratory technology and 5 years of experience working in dental Laboratory technology fabricating complete dentures within the last 7 years is required.
- Experience with equity-minded work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation and veterans including those with different levels of academic preparation, varying physical and learning abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or previous teaching experience in a dental laboratory technology program

Description
Full-time instructional faculty position available in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program. Position in Medical Laboratory Technology Program areas to provide instruction at Clark State's Springfield campus. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science or a science-related field, a minimum of two years of recent clinical experience, and current national ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.
The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include on-ground and online classroom teaching; and participation in college-wide initiatives.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, and flexibility to teach day, evening, or Saturday hours and at the College's campuses in Springfield and Bellefontaine, OH as needed. General Description
The Surgical Technology Program at Kingsborough Community College seeks a part-time College Laboratory Technician (CLT). The CLT is responsible to the Program Director for fulfilling both mentoring and non-mentoring activities. The CLT will use appropriate standard aseptic techniques recommended by the AST.
The CLT plays an integral role in the students’ development of knowledge and skills needed to successfully achieve the expected learning outcomes as described in each course syllabus.
