- Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Experience with complete fabrication of quality denture products from start to finish
- The ability to pass a hands-on skill assessment/bench test completing such process
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Training in dental lab technology a plus

Responsible for the production of dental restorations/procedures in assigned department(s). Follows all company standards regarding the manufacture of dental restorations/procedures as well as ensures all work meets the quality and productivity standards established by the company. Previous experience as a dental technician and/or basic understanding of dental terminology preferred, but will train. Fine motor skills, depth perception and an exceptional attention to detail are a must. Ability to work as part of a team is a must. Hours are M-W 6:30 to 5:00 and Th 6:30 to 3:00. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. We have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician opportunity at NDX Affinity in Louisville, KY. The regular hours for this position are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
- Pour models in stone, plaster or duplicate, as required or needed
- Wax / set-up removable products such as dentures and partials
- Create Baseplate and rims, as required
- Process Acrylic dentures / partials and flexible partials
- Set bites and articulate, as required
- Keep all work areas clean on a daily basis
- Make duplicate models
- Pushing and pulling cart of work around work area
- Review final work and check completely that all quality standards have been met before passing the work to the next technician
- Trouble shoot and problem solve, using past experience and success to gauge best steps on future cases
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Detail oriented
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred: 0-3 years of experience
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
- Small machinery
- Hand-pieces
- Chemicals
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
- Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
- Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
- Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
Qualifications Behaviors Required:
