**Responsibilities**
The Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) seeks a visionary, strategic, and inspirational leader to serve as the next Chair of the Otolaryngology department. Partnering with administrative and nursing leadership, the Chair is responsible for creating and implementing a bold strategic plan for the growth of the service line with the aims of superior quality, safety, efficiency, patient experience, and staff satisfaction. The Chair will oversee, develop and manage Otolaryngology healthcare services across MCHS in an integrated, coordinated and fiscally successful manner.
The Chair will work with MCHS leadership, as well as allied health staff leadership to develop and execute forward-looking strategies to best meet the needs of Otolaryngology patients using specialty expertise, local physician staff, outreach programs, and e-health solutions that advance the highest standards of practice working in a collaborative environment in support of all members of the care team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide inspired and effective leadership to MCHS physician colleagues (including recruitment, development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning activities), while keeping the MCHS Leadership informed of the performance of the Otolaryngology physicians and staff.
+ Lead and manage the Otolaryngology clinical practice, and the integration of practice within and across the MCHS.
+ Participate in creation and implementation of the specialty practice operating plan in alignment with the Mayo Clinic Health System strategic plan, representing the Mayo Model of Community Care.
+ Develop relationships related to the practice, information systems, culture, and markets at all regional Mayo Clinic Health System Otolaryngology sites.
+ Provide ongoing communication of institutional, system, and departmental divisional practice issues to the staff.
+ Track and communicate results/progress toward departmental and regional performance measures and targets (e.g., quality, volumes, access/demand, productivity, credentialing/upgrading staff skills, value-based metrics and financial outcomes).
+ Foster mutual respect and appreciation for individual differences; promote diversity objectives in all staff selection, performance management, and development efforts; facilitate productive working relationships and resolve conflicts among staff and between staff groups in the Otolaryngology department.
+ Strive to develop a consistent and replicable standard of care though out the MCHS by dissemination and direction of best practices.
**Qualifications**
MD, DO or foreign degree equivalent and eligibility for licensure in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin are required. The key focus for the next Chair will be the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies in breast imaging, including AI-assisted mammography interpretation, computer-aided detection systems, and emerging AI applications in multimodal breast imaging. The Department of Breast Imaging, an American College of Radiology Center of Excellence, provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services to screen, diagnose, stage and monitor patients with breast conditions. The department employs a multimodal imaging approach, including mammography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasonography, and other advanced techniques. Faculty are deeply engaged in interdisciplinary clinical care, innovative research, and educational programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Vision:
+ Lead the development and implementation of a forward-thinking, long-term vision for the Guitar Department, identifying strategic opportunities for student and teacher growth, and anticipating evolving institutional needs.
+ Cultivate relationships with key figures and institutions in the guitar and performing arts community to create enriching future opportunities for students and faculty, aligning with the department's strategic goals.
+ Serve on Peabody Preparatory's Director's Council, actively contributing to broader institutional strategy and initiatives.
Student Experience & Curriculum:
+ Develop, guide, and continuously review Peabody Preparatory's guitar curriculum and student evaluation standards to ensure a comprehensive, high-quality, and equitable educational trajectory for all departmental students.

Teaching:
+ Maintain an active studio of students, providing direct instruction and serving as a model educator.
+ Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline is required, classical guitar preferred. Master's degree is preferred.
+ Demonstrated strong administrative and teaching experience, with a focus in classical guitar, and supervisory experience in a music institution is a significant plus.

Job Description
The Chair of Thoracic Imaging will be charged with leading a nationally recognized department and contributing to the prevention and elimination of cancer, transformative research, and exceptional education.
The department is comprised of 17 board-certified fellowship trained thoracic radiologists. Thoracic radiologists provide high-quality interpretations of a wide variety of examinations, including chest radiography, chest CT, low-dose lung cancer screening CT, FDG PET/CT, thoracic MRI, and cardiac CT and MRI.
The full range of thoracic and cardiovascular imaging is available, including chest CT, low-dose screening CT, CT angiography utilizing the latest acquisition and post-processing techniques, FDG PET/CT and MRI/MRA.
In addition to providing a high level of clinical service, members of the Thoracic Imaging actively participate in clinical research and other scholarly activities within MD Anderson, as well as nationally and internationally.
The Chair is responsible for providing leadership and assumes full responsibility for all areas of the department, including, but not limited to, direct patient care; basic, translational, and clinical research within the department; faculty development and evaluation; integration of educational programs; finance and budgeting; and departmental strategic planning that aligns with institutional direction. The Chair inspires professional growth by ensuring career development opportunities and mentorship for department faculty and trainees, as well as fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes collaboration, collegiality and wellness for all. The Chair will also represent the department, division and institution in local, regional, state, and national matters.
Qualifications
· 10 years of experience post clinical degree
· M.D. or equivalent degree
· Board certification in American Board of Radiology
· Eligible for unrestricted Texas medical licensure
· Demonstration of clinical excellence and performance
· Administrative experience at a departmental or institutional level
· Proven track record of successful and independent clinical or translational research and grant or protocol funding
· Consistent record of contributions to education or training and to mentoring of trainees, faculty, or staff
· Progressive leadership experience in an academic setting, preferred experience in an oncologic setting
· Ability to function effectively in a matrix organization characterized by complex intra- and inter- disciplinary relationships
