Summary:
As the Counter Manager, you are the ambassador of our brand within the department store. Key Resonsibilities:

- Manage POS transaction, daily opening/closing, and ensure accuracy of reporting and spa appointment records.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury skincare, spa, or beauty retail environment
- Prior experience managing teams and spa or treatment room operations preferred
- Strong skincare knowledge and a passion for wellness adn results-driven services
- Must be available to work a flexible scheule including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Strategic responsibilities
+ Deep understanding of retailer and local market nuances to help set overall account strategy. In conjunction with Executive Director, guides category priorities, marketing campaigns, assortment, merchandising, promos/GWP/sets/holiday, events and all other parts of the business. Attend, at minimum, one seasonal retailer planning meeting in the account's local market.
+ Partner with Executive Director and Trade Marketing on the full calendar of tailored activities for set strategic accounts, leveraging overall brand category and marketing objectives and ensuring correct coordination and resource allocation between B&M and .COM.
+ Negotiate with retailers for additional/strategic exposure (B&M and .COM) both independently and in conjunction with Executive Director.
+ Analyze programming effectiveness and development recommendations post launch/program. Monitor competitive event and new launch programming to understand appropriate programing strategies. Analyze what is currently transpiring within the marketplace and identify key trends and initiatives to focus on, which will further enhance results of sales.
Marketing responsibilities
+ Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Account & Sales Planning to decide on marketing, assortment, stock levels, GWP, sampling, sets, exclusives and gifts tailored to retailers' customers.
+ Manage Retailer and Field advertising comp, image and sample requests- create and track requests to North America Marketing.
+ Attend all Seasonal Market Meetings, recap and make tactical recommendations based on the Account Strategy.
+ Lead all communication to field regarding seasonal calendar and all subsequent updates.
+ Develop counter tools for in-store events.
+ Work with NA education on tools and support needed by account.
Business Responsibilities
+ Support decisions on P&L items for account and determine spend to maximize ROI and sales in conjunction with Executive Director; held to seasonal targets (retail sales, net sales, demo, co-op, freelance, promo, sets, capex) and shapes the execution of these items at the retailer.
+ With Finance and Executive Director, reviews Account P&Ls monthly/quarterly (prepared by finance) to understand effect of past resource allocations and to analyze outliers and apply learnings to other doors.
+ Recommends freelance investment to Executive Director and monitors productivity/effectiveness monthly and communicates to field; sets total investment for field to allocate and execute by door.
+ Contribute input/ideas and help create presentations for Sr. Management, Retailers, internal and regional sales meetings. Completes first draft of all Retailer commentaries.
+ Leads preparation of weekly and monthly sales results with Admin/Coordinator. Analyze results and update management on conclusions and recommendations.
**Qualifications**
+ Undergraduate degree required
+ 8 years related experience preferably in Beauty or Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Retail
+ Strategic; Focuses on the issues driving material differences in the business
+ Strong relationship builder; strong business acumen and financial ability (i.e., P&L management, main drivers of business, savvy with standard business analyses)
+ Solid understanding of primary levers and components to a successful marketing campaign

The Department Manager in GM may assist customers with school supplies, electronics, dorm, convenience, gifts, and clothing while assisting in the daily operation of the store.
