Position Summary:
Responsible for supervising the building during evening and weekend hours, when Program Staff are not available. The Building Supervisor will be proactive in disciplinary measures as needed, act appropriately and quickly should an emergency arise, and solve problems as necessary.

Essential Functions:
- Ensures correct and proper procedures are being followed by all staff on duty

- Calls for subs for areas that are not staffed
- Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
- Proactively solves problems.

- Remains knowledgeable of member information and programs.
- Performs light maintenance duties, if necessary.
- Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up

- Computer skills are required as well as strong interpersonal skills.

The City of Taylor is seeking candidates for a Supervisor position located at the Taylor Sportsplex, within the City of Taylor.
There is no required experience for this position, but previous managerial or supervisory experience is certainly preferable.
POSITION SUMMARY :This position will be responsible for overseeing daily facility operations and employee performance during their particular shift. A shift supervisor's job description involves a variety of different tasks, from assisting customers to reporting daily building requirements/needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Key Tasks and Responsibilities; other duties may be assigned by the Director and/or designee)
- Assigns tasks to employees.
- Oversees opening and closing of facility.
- Writes up reports of employee behavior or customer complaints.

The Building Supervisor - GRC is a Part-Time Position. We offer competitive compensation, PTO and an employee discount for part-time employees.
Job Purpose:
The building supervisor assists in the day-to-day operation and insures the facility is safe, clean, and supervised during operation. This individual is responsible for managing patron issues and customer service related to the facility, making sure that all patron and safety issues and concerns are address. In addition to performing the tasks of a Facility Attendant, the Student Building Supervisor helps ensure policies and procedures for Campus Recreation buildings are enforced in a fair and consistent manner particularly on nights and weekends.
Student Building Supervisors must attend staff meetings, and maintain professionalism at all times, either while assisting members, working with staff across program areas or attending to other work tasks.
- Student Building Supervisors provide backup to facility access staff when necessary. Individuals will also provide coverage when needed for special events that go beyond normal operation hours.
- Student Building Supervisors must be Penn State students and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary.
- Ability to recognize and identify unruly patrons or unsafe behaviors.
- Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds with or without accommodation.

Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs that provides fitness, wellness, and recreational programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the new expanded and renovated 200,000 sf Intramural Building, the McCoy Natatorium, the 700-acre Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, a Tennis Center including six clay courts and four indoor courts, the White Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness and Wellness Programs, and Intramural Sports.
