- Ensure the sustainment of the existing and future FBM Trident II D5 deployed fleet through Structures Engineering efforts.
- Shape the future of the program through digital transformation, proposal development and model-based engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with adjacent organizations and our government representatives.
- Provide technical and program management experience in support of the program
- Support all facets of our program; cost, schedule, and technical execution of program scope including R&D, Production, Sustainment, Qualification and Special Investigation contracts through engineering project management.
- Interface with Suppliers and subject matter experts within and outside of FBM program engineering.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the following; design, qualification, and/or integration of mechanical hardware; failure investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action disposition; and mechanical design or propulsion engineering.

+ BS in Mechanical Engineering (machine design emphasis preferred).
+ 5+ years in industrial manufacturing; engineered-to-order product experience preferred (motors/generators or similar complexity).
+ Strong background in machine design and mechanical analysis (structural, lubrication, rotordynamics, vibration, CFD, thermal, FEA).
+ Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, FORTRAN, and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation requirements.
+ Proven leadership and people management ability.
+ Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
+ Strong presentation skills with ability to present to all levels of management.
+ Ability to prioritize shifting workloads and manage multiple projects.

**Summary Description of Job:**
Evaluates situations, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor modifications.
