  • Create and maintain all forms of product documentation with minimal direction: 3D models for components & assemblies, 2D component & manufacturing assembly drawings, Technical product datasheets, and Customer Instruction manuals

  • Knowledge of DFX for precision manufacturing materials & processes including sheet metal, castings, injection molding, extruding, machining, paint & powder coating, PCBA, and assembly
  • Demonstrated success optimizing designs for additive manufacturing
  • Proficiency in mechanical design drafting practices, including full compliance with ASME Standard Y14.5 - 2009 and relevant GD&T standards
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Utilize the Change Engine database to create engineering change notices and document progress toward issue resolution and closure.
  • Schedule and conduct technical reviews, customer design reviews and DFMEA reviews for the programs to which you are assigned.
  • Actively participate in all cross functional team (CFT), change control, and program management team (PMT) meetings for the programs to which you are assigned., builds, teardowns, etc.
  • Support all vehicle validation events such as prototype builds and durability vehicle teardowns on site at the customer facility as required by the customer.
  • Obtain necessary customer part numbers and engineering change notices from Program Management. In addition, obtain the necessary customer approvals on the various engineering documents (e.g. drawings, DVP&R, etc.).
  • Benchmarking competitor technology specifically related to electrical distribution centers, connectors, and terminals.
  • Provide CAD and Engineering support to fellow associates in the Component Engineering group as required to manage workload peaks.
  • Abide by all policies regarding EEO, Safety and Quality and Environmental.
KNOWLEDGE / CONOCIMIENTO- Describe any knowledge or skill (eg, technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which the position requires.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in related field.
