Responsibilities

Raw Materials Sourcing & Development: Initial Development Design Phase

  • Attend trade shows with Creative Director and Production Manager
  • Assist the Production Manager in the fabric selection process during the development phase.
  • Communicate with fabric vendors daily , conducting follow-ups until all requested fabric details are received.
  • Maintain and update the Development Checklist , tracking shipments and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Prioritize early-morning vendor communication due to time zone differences.
  • Track and confirm material deliveries in real-time and notify the Production Manager .
  • Sometimes we source temporary samples due to timing
  • Organize received materials , storing them in labeled bags by vendor name and date .
  • Save digital material submissions in the correct seasonal drive under vendor-specific folders.
  • Print digital material submissions
  • Once the head of design makes any new request , gather detailed information and email all to the Production Manager .
  • Add the new request to the Development Tracker chart.
  • Follow up with the vendor for updates until concluded and keep the chart up to date.

  • Print digital fabric submissions following the Production Manager’s instructions.
  • Ensure prints are in color, single-sided, and properly stapled ; use binder clips when necessary.
  • Store printed materials in labeled zip bags by vendor name and date.
  • Save digital material submissions in the correct drive for the season, organized by vendor.
  • Check and maintain logins for print sources ; notify the Production Manager if access issues arise.



Raw Materials Sourcing & Development: Development Selections

  • Collect fabric headers once the Designer finalizes fabric selections .
  • Gather selected fabric headers for the Production Manager to review stretch and production feasibility with the Pre-Production Manager .
  • Create the Master Chart for each season in the Season Folder , adding all information available on the selected headers.
  • Once the Production manager reaches out to each vendor and all details are confirmed, update the Master Chart .
  • Save all spec sheets in the appropriate drive.
  • Prints: Once a print is purchased, save it to the corresponding season’s print binder
  • Maintain all Print folders updated in real time (text ali link in real time w each update)

  • Track sample yardage orders , follow up with vendors, and update the Season Master Chart with accurate ETA information .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Survey Design Technician 5 your primary responsibilities include designing and drafting construction drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software. You will work closely with a team under the supervision of a project manager to ensure that all designs meet the approval standards of federal, state, and local agencies. Your role involves reviewing and interpreting technical documents, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will be expected to demonstrate attention to detail, collaborate effectively with team members, and interface with clients and other professionals to meet project requirements.Key Responsibilities:
    Design and draft survey drawings using AutoCAD (or other required software), ensuring they meet the required standards for approval by federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Work with a team of drafters and designers under the supervision of a project manager to support the practice.
  • Review and interpret design manuals, technical documents, and local jurisdiction details.
  • Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches with some guidance.
  • Size and specify design requirements accurately.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring projects meet ISO compliance requirements.
  • Strive to achieve or exceed the budgeted individual utilization target.
  • Attend bi-weekly or more frequent meetings with project teams to discuss progress and address any issues.
  • Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required.
  • Demonstrate commitment to team performance and actively participate in meetings.
  • Complete all assigned tasks on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project scope.
  • Compare field data to base plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Design and draft construction drawings using standard engineering principles for approval by federal, state, and local agencies.

Stantec's team is seeking a Wireless Site Design Manager to oversee CAD deliverables, direct engineering staff, and work closely with Project Managers to ensure our client's design intentions are captured and delivered on schedule and budget. The Design Manager must be proficient in CAD drafting, familiar with tower, rooftop, greenfield site design and site development, with experience overseeing a delivery team. This position will take ownership of understanding jurisdictional requirements, our contractual scopes of work, internal team's ability, necessary mentorship and driving team to meet our client commitments. This position can be in our Tampa or Deerfield Beach offices. The Design Manager will be ultimately responsible for understanding client and jurisdictional design requirements, overseeing engineering, and drafting teams' deliverables, and ensuring the design package meets our contractual obligations to the client, the client's design intent, schedule and Project Manager's budget.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Review and redline Construction Drawings for Site Development of Wireless Telecommunication facilities for the following disciplines: Architectural, Structural, Electrical & Mechanical.
- Understand good construction practices and basic architectural, electrical & grounding design.
- Communicate design requirements to engineering, design and drafting teams.
- Research and understand jurisdictional requirements, client standards, construction limitations, and internal capabilities.
- Oversee necessary training and mentorship of existing staff as required.
- Proficient with AutoCAD.
- Willing and able to travel to project sites on successive days.
- Expected to be the technical point of contact on new projects, communicate project status to clients and internal team.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets/project trackers to ensure on-time deliverables within budget.
- Lead team of drafters to assemble design packages from start to finish including internal & external QA/QC process.
- Coordinates structural, mechanical, electrical drawings and specifications with architectural contract documents for telecommunication facilities infrastructure design and construction.
- Conduct engineering research using the Internet, visiting production site, or consulting with municipalities.
- Attend site visits to measure up and sketch proposed wireless telecommunication facility, including cell sites and critical facilities.
- Ensures that drawings are checked, approved and filed in accordance with company quality system.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical disciplines and capability of coordinating these disciplines for telecom cell sites design.
- Strong organizational, written and communication skills.
- Plans review and building inspections and certification would be an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment, fast-paced organization, as well as independently.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
- Proven ability to provide technical assistance and mentor.
