Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues with PCs, monitors, printers, and other related IT equipment
  • Coordinate with smart hands vendor to provide on site support and hardware repair at remote locations.
  • Providing direction to onsite tech by outlining the problem and what is expected of the tech while onsite
  • Collecting and analyzing photos and data provided by the tech
  • Driving the solution and ensuring that the issue is completely resolved
  • Image, prep, ship and track laptops and desktops and accessories
  • Maintain asset inventory of devices throughout their lifecycle

It allows employees to resolve technical issues through various methods: they can either schedule an appointment or simply walk up. Currently, there is one Work Bench technician who handles 10 to 20 tickets daily. The issues addressed include imaging computers (using SCCM), OS issues (both Windows and Mac), network connectivity problems (WiFi, VPN, printer), basic navigation, password resets, and more.
The workbench is open from 8am - 4:30pm M-F and those are the hours of operation.

We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois (US-IL), United States (US).
This role is to provide onsite support for end users, for tickets and issues at a client site, including management of the regional stockroom. The technician will have the responsibility to own the issues through resolution. Must have access to a reliable vehicle.
**Responsibilities**
+ Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment and repair on desktops / notebooks printers
+ May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader instructions
+ Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action
+ Updates and resolves tickets in a timely manner to achieve Service Levels
+ Utilize a well-rounded knowledge of the policies and procedures for their work area
+ Make policy recommendations to their manager and be an escalation point for less experienced team members
**Basic Qualifications**
+ 2+ Years of Desktop/End User Support Experience
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
**Additional Preferences**
+ Experience in a plant/manufacturing environment
+ Undergraduate degree or some college coursework
+ Strong knowledge of Windows operating system environment
+ Solid client service skills
+ A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required
+ Ability to physically perform general office requirements
+ Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
+ Travel including overnight domestic trips may be required

Insight Global is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to work ON-SITE for a large healthcare company in Orange, CA. The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for maintaining computer equipment and providing support to anyone within an organization who needs technological assistance. They do everything from perform maintenance to configure components and software and install routine updates to system software. This technician will also be relied on for various projects ranging from go-live and deployment support, to windows upgrade support. This individual may be needed for the support of the client's new clinics throughout OC / LA / IE.
