Job Description
At Sift, we're redefining how modern machines are built, tested, and operated. Our platform gives engineers real-time observability over high-frequency telemetry, eliminating bottlenecks and enabling faster, more reliable development.
Sift was born from our work at SpaceX on Dragon, Falcon, Starlink, and Starship-where scaling telemetry, debugging flight systems, and ensuring mission reliability demanded new infrastructure. Founded by a team from SpaceX, Google, and Palantir, Sift is built for mission-critical systems where precision and scalability are non-negotiable.
Description
Sift is hiring a technical communicator and relationship-builder to help us go to market more effectively at a critical moment in our growth. Our platform is being used by the most advanced engineering teams in aerospace, defense, and next-gen manufacturing.
As adoption grows, we need someone who can engage directly with engineers in the field, build trust with technical communities, and bring insights back to our go-to-market and product teams. Someone who can create high-credibility content, represent Sift publicly at events, and help us show up in the market with clarity, precision, and empathy for mission-critical teams.
This role blends developer advocacy, technical content, and community engagement with influence. It's built for someone who knows how engineers evaluate tools, and who can move fluidly between writing a technical blog post, participating in a Reddit thread, and briefing the product team on a new use case seen in the field. You'll be a key partner to sales, growth, and product, personifying our brand in the market in organic ways.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Community Relationships: Engage with aerospace, defense, and robotics engineers in online communities, social media, at industry events, and invite-only forums. Represent Sift credibly in these spaces and form long-term, trust-based connections with technical users and influencers.
- Create Technical Content: Build, manage, and lead educational webinars, product workshops based on core use cases for Sift and at industry events. Support GTM content creation efforts and maintain a steady drumbeat of credible, reusable content.
- Support Sales: Collaborate with GTM and AE teams to create field-ready technical assets, and objection handling for mission-critical programs.
- Feed Product & GTM with Field Insight: Surface insights from community conversations. Report feedback, concerns, emerging needs, or competitive dynamics back into product, growth, and sales strategy.
- Drive Product Launch Execution: Support the rollout of new features by creating developer-facing content for social media and online communities.
- Technical Background: You've worked as an engineer, developer, or solutions architect an have demonstrated influence in the market. You're comfortable in technical conversations and understand what matters to teams testing and operating complex systems.
- Credible Content Execution: You've published blogs, demos, documentation, or technical explainer content that engineers actually read and use. You know how to write clearly, avoid fluff, and convey how tools actually work.
- Community Presence & Empathy: You engage publicly and naturally in online technical communities, and you know how to add value in conversation not just promote a product. You're comfortable promoting yourself and Sift online. You're someone engineers want to hear from, because you listen and share useful things.
- Audience Fluency: You understand how aerospace and defense engineers evaluate tools, how they adopt infrastructure, and what earns their attention in a crowded field. You can translate this back to GTM teams to develop assets and support sales.
- Mission Orientation: You care about building infrastructure for systems that can't fail. You understand the stakes, the complexity, and the importance of getting this right.
Location:
Sift's headquarters is in El Segundo, CA . We collaborate in person twice a week-on Mondays and Thursdays -and come together for a full week every two months. While we prefer team members to be local, we're open to relocating candidates to LA or considering remote work from the San Francisco area for the right candidate.
Salary range: $170,000 - $220,000 per year. Plus equity and benefits.

- Represent our company in developer communities, including attending conferences and meetups
- Collaborate with our customer and engineering teams to ensure that our SDKs/Docs are meeting the needs of developers and that we are providing the best possible developer experience
- Create technical content, such as documentation, tutorials, and sample code, to help developers get started with our tools. You will own our documentation portal.
- Own our blog portal, add content, release notes, and collaborate with the team on content strategy.
- Produce high-quality technical video tutorials (example) and maintain our YouTube, Linkedin, and Twitter accounts.
- Gather and analyze data on developer engagement and feedback, and use this information to inform product and outreach strategies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a similar role
- Strong technical skills and experience working with developer tools and APIs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with developers and other technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating technical content, such as documentation and tutorials.
- Comfortable with public speaking and representing the company in developer communities.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in building and growing developer communities, as well as driving adoption and usage of developer tools
- Deep technical expertise in APIs, SDKs and Docs
- Experience working in a distributed organization, and ability to collaborate with teams in different time zones and cultures
- Experience working with open source communities and contributing to open source projects

Job Description
Everyone's talking about AI. But here's the truth: ChatGPT can't send your emails. It can't book your flights. It can't even order you lunch.
Why? Because AI is trapped in a chat box. It can't take real actions in the real world.
We are changing that forever. We're not just building another AI company - we're creating the infrastructure that will power every AI application you'll use in the future.
The Revolution Needs You
Every AI app needs agentic "tools" - special functions that let AI models take real actions. Without tools, AI can only chat. With tools, AI can actually do things. We're building the definitive tools catalog and tool-calling platform that will unlock AI's true potential. Think Zapier for AI Actions. Think Auth0 for AI. Think really big.
Why This Is The Opportunity of a Lifetime
Founder-Market Fit : Our CEO previously founded Stormpath (acquired by Okta), where he created the first Authentication API for developers. He's done this before - and this time the market is 10x bigger. Our CTO led the vector database team at Redis, shipped 100+ LLM applications, and is a contributor to LangChain and LlamaIndex. He knows this space better than anyone.
Dream Team : We've assembled authentication, integrations, distributed systems, and AI experts from Okta, Redis, Microsoft, Splunk, Ngrok, Google, Airbyte, Disney, and HPE who've built and founded multiple successful developer platforms.
Perfect Timing : We're at the inflection point of AI adoption. The biggest problem isn't better models - it's connecting AI to real-world actions. That's us.
Massive Market : We're building critical infrastructure for the biggest technological shift of our generation. Every AI app will need what we're building.
Backed By The Best : Our investors have backed Databricks, Clickhouse, MongoDB, Perplexity, Cohere, ScaleAI, Confluent, Elastic, and Firebase. They see what we see - this is going to be huge.
The Challenge
We're arming AI with real capabilities, and we need someone to show developers how to unleash them. As our Lead Developer Relations Advocate, you will be responsible for engaging with the AI community to build our brand, teach, and attract users in both San Francisco and online. You'll build mind-bending demo apps and videos, host hackathons, manage conferences, and whatever else it takes to get the word out. Youll be leveraging your pre-existing community and business connections to be at all the important events, and ensure that the right people come to ours. Sitting within our go-to-market team, but collaborating closely with engineering, you'll transform our technical innovations into developer epiphanies - pushing our product and community forward.
What You'll Do
Leadership : Shape and lead Arcades developer engagement strategy, while working in close partnership with the rest of the GTM team to ensure a seamless and integrated execution.
Public Speaking and Evangelism : Be the face of Arcade within the greater AI developer community. Represent Arcade at conferences, community meetups, and customer events. Become an ever-present source for information and ideas.
Marketing and Awareness : Increase adoption of Arcades product. Build brand awareness in the developer community.
Advocacy and Community Engagement : Engage with developers in Arcades community, educating and gathering feedback for the product and GTM teams.
Content Creation and Distribution : Consistently create engaging content on Arcades product with a strong focus on video. Leverage your online following for distribution.
Required Skills
Enthusiastic about public speaking and direct developer engagement both online and in person.
Passion for AI and its impact on our technological world - youve built agents before and understand their power and the problems.
5+ years of developer relations, developer marketing, AI engineering, or similar related experience.
An existing large following and reach on social media, youtube, or similar platforms.
Video production and editing skills
Comfort with both Python and Typescript
Strong teamwork and communication skills
High motivation and ability to work on a fast cadence
Join The Movement
We're not just building a product - we're leading a movement to transform AI from just chatbots to agents that can take actions against real systems. This is your chance to be at the forefront of that revolution.
If you want to look back in 5 years and say, "I helped build that", then we want to talk to you.
Ready to make AI actually useful? Apply Now
