Position Summary
The Modern Management Senior System Architect will own and drive our Mobile Device Management (MDM) strategy. This role is responsible for system architecture, technical design, and governance of endpoint management solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment to business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with the End User Computing Product Owner and Product Manager, IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity teams, technology vendors, managed service partners, and other business units to implement and continuously improve the device management architecture and delivery of the digital end user experience.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in enterprise endpoint management with strategic vision and the ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with emphasis on system architecture, innovation, and broad cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assists in designing governance and standards activities for technology architecture compliance. Participates in hardware and software technology and product standards selection. Participates and contributes in system architect reviews and ensures architecture adherence.
+ Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure system architecture alignment with business objectives. Identifies organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture.
+ Evaluates and selects appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for systems. Assesses technology industry and market trends and their impact on the enterprise. Evaluates technology options and advises on technology investment decisions.
+ Analyzes and translates business and technical requirements into system designs. Designs and implements end to end system architectures that meet business requirements.

+ Innovate by continuously assessing emerging technologies and industry best practices in enterprise mobility. Pilot new solutions and drive the evolution of the mobile architecture to enhance user experience, security posture, and operational agility.
+ Documents and communicates technology architecture design and analysis work. Leads the development of system architecture documentation and diagrams.
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred, related field or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of relevant architecture experience required
+ Experience with MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune and JAMF, including initial deployment, policy configuration, ongoing administration, and optimization in complex enterprise environments required.
+ Experience with endpoint management, across iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS platforms, including device enrollment (Apple Business Manager/DEP, Android Enterprise), application deployment (MAM/app stores), compliance policies, encryption, and mobile security best practices required.
+ Experience designing scalable, secure, and user-friendly technical solutions by translating business needs into practical architectures that effectively balance usability, security, and operational efficiency required.
+ Experience with enterprise infrastructure supporting endpoint management, including directory services (Azure AD/AD), certificate management, identity and access management, SSO/conditional access, and security frameworks like Zero Trust preferred.
+ Experience with PowerShell, .NET, Python, or Bash to streamline device management tasks, integrate APIs, and build custom tools to extend MDM capabilities preferred.

**Responsibilities**
+ Architect and implement cloud-based endpoint management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE) to support secure, scalable device operations.
+ Lead the development and enforcement of security protocols, device compliance policies, and lifecycle management strategies.
+ Oversee the deployment, configuration, and optimization of mobile device management (MDM) platforms across DHS environments.
+ Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure endpoint solutions align with DHS security and operational requirements.
+ Troubleshoot complex endpoint issues and provide Tier 3 support for escalated incidents.
+ Maintain documentation and provide knowledge transfer to DHS IT staff on endpoint management tools and procedures.
+ Ensure compliance with DHS and federal IT security standards and frameworks.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on endpoint management, MDM, and device security.
+ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, or similar platforms.
+ Strong understanding of cloud-based endpoint solutions, security frameworks, and device compliance management.
+ Proven experience in device lifecycle management and enterprise mobility strategies.
+ Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven federal environment.
+ Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Experience supporting DHS or other federal agencies.
+ Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, NIST cybersecurity frameworks, and FISMA compliance.
+ Relevant certifications such as:
+ Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
+ VMware VCP-DTM.
+ CompTIA Security+.
+ ITIL Foundation.

The role you'll contribute: The Cardiac Device Management Technician (CDMT) is responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and rhythm EKG analysis accurately for all Pacemaker, ICD, ILR, & Lifevest patients. Responsible for following device protocols set by the Electrophysiologist based on industry standards related to interrogating, interpreting, and re-programming cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision. Remote evaluation of online information, retrieval and triage of that information, preparing full disclosure reports for physician evaluation and approval for entry to EMR. Additional monitoring duties may include telephone triage reviewing medical history, recording vital signs, and the ability to communicate critical events or findings to the physicians directly. Troubleshoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution.

- Required to interrogate, interpret, and re-program cardiac devices providing full disclosure reports for physicians approval and entry to EMR.
- Monitor and evaluate critical cardiac rhythms and rhythm EKG analysis in-person and from remote transmissions based on global billing periods.
- Monitor heart failure reports remotely for ICD and CRT devices monthly providing full disclosure reports to the cardiologist per notification protocol for approval and entry to EMR.
- Evaluate remote alerts daily from all device websites, retrieval and triage of that information, preparing full disclosure reports for physician approval based on notification protocols.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac devices Pacemakers, ICD, and ILR on-the-job training or completion of an approved CDMT program
- Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions.
- BLS Certification
