Responsibilities

    Manages GitLab environment, logging linting, and permissions

  • Manages logging out of K clusters to include mission application logging

  • Diagnoses and resolves performance and networking issues within K clusters

  • Works with developers to ensure rapid, simple, and easy integration into the K environment

  • Maintains manifest and monitoring of deployed applications

  • Create / tune automated management tools via ArgoCD/Flux/Ansible

  • Assists in configuration of GitLab CI/CD Pipeline yaml and workflow to empower customer use

  • CI/CD Pipeline configuration for external and internal (to GitLab) logging and monitoring

  • Configuration and guide to construction of Helm Charts in K clusters and application deployment

  • Configuration and management of KeyCloak and integration with KeyCloak/LDAP/Smart Cards

Required Experience/Qualifications
  • 5-7 years' experience and a BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides ongoing systems administration, technical support, upgrades, and troubleshooting services.
  • Provide full coverage for Linux or Unix system administration functions to support the DevOps tool sets.
  • Install, configure, support, and maintain middleware (e.g., JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, etc.) to support the DevOps tool sets.
  • Works closely with application and product teams in understanding their specific automation requirements and implement with them an optimal CICD pipeline.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to validate infrastructure code.
  • Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve the code quality.
  • Maintain configuration and support documentation.
  • Manage assigned project components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Develop, through programming and scripting, automation to further expand and refine the DevOps tool sets.
  • Work closely with the software development teams in defining their DevOps CICD pipeline and processes and implement and configure the DevOps tools with them.
  • Incorporate AWS native cloud services and features to enhance the performance and resilience of the DevOps tools and infrastructure.
  • Contribute and collaborate to design, document, and publish DevOps and cloud standards, principles, guidelines and best practices.
  • Seek opportunities to increase the business value of the DevOps tool chain through research and investigation, application team input, automation options, POCs, etc.
  • Proactively stays abreast of new AWS offerings and services Transform development processes for existing applications into a continuous integration, continuous delivery driven software development lifecycle
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of directly relevant experience
  • Experience building CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small-scale systems
  • Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages (Shell, Python, JavaScript, Typescript and PowerShell)
  • Proven experience in Serverless Architecture, Containers orchestration tools like OpenShift, EKS, Docker Swarm, ECS, Kubernetes, developing Cloud Formation Templates, knowledge of SAM templates preferred and/or Terraform Design
  • Develop and integrate highly complex DevOps pipelines, including build automation, CICD, Infrastructure as Code, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting Experience in provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of version control systems (Git), build tools and continuous integration tools (CloudBees, Jenkins)
  • Proficient with application build and release processes and DevOps
  • Experience with both Linux or Unix environments
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field

This critical role in Digital Technology is an exciting opportunity to join our growing DevOps and Classified Engineering Solutions organization as a System DevOps Administrator. The primary responsibility for this position is to design, implement and support engineering solutions for our key programs. You will develop, refine, and shape the future technology infrastructure that will allow our Engineers to bring innovative solutions to our customer with greater speed and efficiency!
**_** This position requires a Secret Clearance, is onsite in St. Petersburg, FL, and a relocation package is available if needed. **_**
**What YOU will do:**
+ System administration experience in Windows and/or Linux based systems.
+ Leverage company best practices and capabilities to assist programs with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of DevSecOps software solutions.
+ Ensure system reliability and continuity by developing and validating fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans for engineering/development tools infrastructure.
+ Responsible for the daily DevOps and systems administration in support of environments and applications.
+ Administer and maintain the security and compliance of tooling solutions including hardening, patching and version upgrades.
+ Manage disaster recovery (DR) for servers, databases, and file shares.
+ Provide documentation of implemented DevOps environments by authoring procedures, work instructions and program profile documents.
+ Setup and maintain local site applications on VMware ESXi servers.
+ Maintain technical configuration and knowledge base documentation.
+ Lead technical projects, working with team members and inter-departmental groups to plan, execute, and deliver new features or capabilities.
**Qualifications you must have:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government DoD Secret security clearance is required.
+ Requires minimum 5 years of platform engineering / support experience to include: three (3) years of experience developing and operating containerized services deployed in production on orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes; building developer platform services and APIs that scale in production.
+ Providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure; designing or administering Identity and Access Lifecycle Management Operations and controls; building and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines.
+ Experience managing Windows client and Server operating systems in an Active Directory environment.
+ Experience with Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat or AWS Linux).
+ Experience with container technology (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related job functions
  • Provide support and troubleshooting aid to end-users, addressing technical issues
  • Ability to quickly learn innovative technology and adjust to work requirements
  • Build, deploy, and manage diverse operating and software systems including Windows Server, Linux Server, BIND, ISC KEA, DHCP, IIS, Apache, and Enterprise monitoring system (e.g., SolarWinds and Obserium), ensuring smooth integration and operation
