Summary: 2:30pm-8:00p (including every Saturday) The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFSR) serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors in the hospital, ambulatory or medical office setting. The PFSR engages with the patient or guarantor to obtain pertinent information and answer any questions in an effort to ensure that all required demographic, financial, and insurance eligibility information is gathered and verified. Ensures all required notices and consent forms are signed accordingly.
Responsibilities: Obtains pre-certification and authorization. Verifies insurance benefits including obtaining insurance card(s) and confirms coverage is active. Determines correct insurance filing order, if multiple insurance coverages are effective for that service. Explains policies including all regulatory and financial consent forms; secures all required signatures. May perform patient discharge functions including, but not limited to, review of after visit summary (AVS), future appointment scheduling, and referrals. Provides exceptional customer service and ensures all questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and courteous manner. May guide the patient to appropriate destination for services. Interviews patients and guarantors at the workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary information, including a copy of the patient or guarantor identification card. May confirm physician and prescription orders ensuring accuracy. May schedule walk-in appointments for services offered. Collects patient out-of-pocket responsibility per collection guidelines. Provides patient estimates as requested. Prepares and balances a daily deposit of all payment collections.

One (1) year of related hospital, medical office, or customer service experience preferred. Other Information: In Memorial Physician Group (specialty practices), additional responsibilities include: (1) obtain specialty authorizations (2) authorization denial and peer to peer process (3) patient care navigation ex: surgical and procedural coordination and scheduling for patient specific populations (4) handle all incoming calls and physician and hospital back line (5) obtain and confirm referrals In the Hospital, additional responsibilities include: (1) Upon validation of patient identity, place identification band on patient (2) obtain signatures for hospital specific regulatory forms not required in an ambulatory or office setting (3) obtain authorizations for walk-in appointments (4) determine when financial assistance is needed. In Memorial Primary Care, additional responsibilities include: (1) MIH-MPC program patient referral, payment collection and eligibility scheduling (2) process referral work-ques and same day access requests (3) work with Patient Access Center on real time patient requests (4) address prescription refill requests, patient advice requests through MyChart, and provider scheduling template.

Job Summary
Performs a wide variety of duties within a patient care setting. Activities include cleaning, disinfecting. Responds to customer requests that commensurate with the position.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
Performs support duties:
- Empties full soiled linen bags, replaces with clean bags, and throws full bag of linen down the linen chute.
- Makes unoccupied beds.
- Stocks clean patient linen in patient rooms.
- Stock floor with bathroom supplies and cups to established par levels, also ensures that cleaning chemicals and equipment are appropriately stocked for assigned work area.
- Cleans and disinfects occupied patient rooms and isolation rooms in assigned areas according to established procedures.
- Cleans and disinfects offices, exam rooms, public and private lavatories, lounges, utility rooms and other assigned areas such as halls, stairways, elevators, floors, furniture, windows and doors according to established procedures.
- Cleans and disinfects hospital equipment as assigned, according to established procedures.
- Identifies and completes discharge cleaning and bed making of patient rooms in assigned areas according to the hospitals discharge procedure. The employee also completes emergency discharge cleaning and bed making as required.
- Operates or uses various types of equipment according to established procedure in the completion of floor care and cleaning projects. Equipment includes mops, & vacuums.
- Empties trash, replaces liner and disinfects waste receptacles including medical waste in assigned areas according to established procedures.
- Collects and removes trash, including medical waste and hazardous materials from assigned areas and delivers to holding area for final disposal by a contracted service.
- Cleans hazardous material spills as assigned according to established procedures.
- Detects and reports defective materials, equipment and items which could present an unsafe condition, to the appropriate supervision.
- Follows all rules and regulations related to the handling of medical and hazardous waste, including the wearing of proper PPE.
- Mixes chemicals properly and uses in a manner consistent with manufacturers instructions.
- Follows all rules and regulations related to Universal Precautions and other rules of safety.
- Lifts and transports equipment and furniture to various areas of the hospital.
- Sets up and breaks down furniture from various meetings and delivers and removes various items needed for the meeting such as televisions, VCRs, projectors, easels.
- Completes prepared forms to report specific tasks accomplished, such as moving equipment.
- Employee maintains proper levels of attendance and punctuality.
- Employee follows verbal and written directions.
- Attends mandatory in-service education and maintains standards for competencies annually.
- Attends all GSA update training and hazardous material training annually and passes the tests associated with such training.
- High School Diploma or GED is desired but not necessary.
- Prior custodial work preferred.

Float day-to-day to inpatient medical/surgical units, observation units, and occasionally the ED
**Position Summary** : **Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.**
**Level II Registered Nurse (RN):**
The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II Registered Nurse may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The Level II nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level II nurse provides support to team problem solving. The Level II nurse identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners. The Level II nurse contributes to safe unit environment and operations.
