Small bowel capsule endoscopy is also available through the Digestive Health Center.  It is located on the 2nd floor of the Hatch Building.

    **The role you'll contribute** **:**
    Specialty role responsible for the supervision and implementation of the Digestive Health Program; Bariatrics, Colorectal, Reflux, GI, and General Surgeries. The coordinator will work closely with the surgeons and their office staff to ensure an uneventful and successful progression for the patient through the entire surgery process. Program to be based on knowledge inherent in the Digestive Health scope. Specifically coordinating the patient pathways through Bariatrics, General Surgery, Colorectal, Gastroenterology, and Reflux management, with utilization of a multidisciplinary approach. Program development is organizational wide for specific advancement towards acquisition of or maintenance of an accreditation protocol. Plans, teaches and through summative and formative evaluation, reviews clinical pathways for nurses, leaders, physicians, and clinical staff. Participates in and uses evidence-based practice and research to promote professional development and optimal patient outcomes related to managing the digestive health patient. Acts as the digestive health expert for the organization in relation to assigned core measure(s) and pertinent regulations. Ability to statistically coordinate sampling of medical records that pertain to the digestive health patient throughout the organization. Ability to evaluate, summarize, and disseminate data to appropriate personnel in the organization. Works collaboratively with all disciplines in the organization to establish and implement action plans for resolution of identified areas of concern.

    3 years of clinical experience in a specialized area, such as surgery, digestive health platform or data collection within a healthcare setting.
    Registered Nurse (RN)
    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.

    The Assistant Manager - Access primarily manages the scheduling function of the team by implementing standards systems and processes to improve the patient and referring physician access and clinician satisfaction with scheduling activities across the Health System. The Assistant Manager ensures the scheduling team and unit meet or exceed performance standards focused on patient and referring physician access correct provider and capture of pre-appointment medical records referrals patient demographic insurance and other relevant financial information.
    + Oversee the performance of the scheduling team and departments/service location scheduling and be accountable to meet or exceed the performance standards.
    + Collaborate to develop an appointment tracking mechanism and workflow to follow critical tasks in sequential order such as appointments referrals records insurance referral and pre-authorizations.
    + Establish and onboard a support team.
    + Utilize feedback loop and coordinate with the Access and Epic teams (Cadence in particular).
    + Provide input to the design and implementation of the Access operating model and scheduling process designs in general and for the respective team.
    + Support the Epic design and build teams to coordinate process redesign and implementation.
    + Coordinate with Clinic Managers and related providers within the team to gain a full understanding of clinical operations within each clinic and/or operational area in order to fully meet patient clinic and Access needs.
    + Oversee the performance of scheduling for the team and hold the team accountable for the design implementation and management of Access standards.
    + Assist in the removal of barriers for the team to help achieve milestones.
    + Implement work products in the team developed by Access design and implementation teams.
    + As necessary build consensus amongst team members and various clinical and operational leaders (such as Clinical Administrators Department Chairs Physicians and other care team providers) to gain buy-in on critical decisions.
    + In consultation with Revenue Cycle leadership develop accountability standards for work queue management collaborate on establishment of new or modified processes affecting revenue and respond to metrics provided by Access by identifying issues applying resolutions and monitoring performance standards in a timely manner.
    + In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
    Position Compensation Range: $67,849.60 - $108,555.20 Annual
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.
    Experience: 3 years of medical background in outpatient/ambulatory setting.
    Licensure: None required.
