To support our growth, Janux Therapeutics is searching for an Associate Director, Data Management. The Associate Director manages day-to-day operations of data management activities. The Associate Director will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards to improve operational efficiency. The incumbent will also assess and create new SOPs and Guidance in data management. He/she/they will manage activities with vendors to support clinical trials and maintain high quality deliverables in a timely manner in data management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide leadership, and expertise to clinical development functions in data capture, handling, and data management processes
    • Accountability for data management activities for Janux clinical studies, coordinating tasks and deliverables across multiple clinical trials
    • Evaluate Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and eSource data capture (ePRO) for implementation.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in collaboration with cross functional teams per regulatory requirements (ICH/GCP/CFR) and implement industry standards (SDTM/CDISC and CDASH). Lead The development of standard CRF library for Janux and coordinate cross functional team review of standard forms
    • Develop and oversee project level data management strategy
    • Oversee CRO data management activities that support clinical trials
    • Act as primary Data Management contact for projects to cross functional teams
    • Review clinical development documents (eg. Protocols, Case Report Forms, Statistical analysis outputs, and clinical study report)
    • Review/develop/approve all core Data Management Documents, including but not limited to Data Management Plans, eCRF Specifications, Data Validation Specifications, CRF Completion Guidelines, and Data Transfer Agreement(s) (DTAs), Data Review Plans and Data Integration Specifications for clinical studies
    • Assist/oversee external data reconciliations (SAE, central labs, etc.)

Job Posting: Director - Data Management (ERP)
* Locations: Cary, NC, New York, NY, or Tampa, FL
* Reports to: VP - Data & Analytics
* Supervises: About 4-5 people
Role Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Director of Data Management to support the ERP/Finance data solution. Person will lead the design and delivery of scalable, reusable, and trustworthy data solutions for Data and Analytics to support our Corporate Functions stakeholders. This role will focus on data architecture, scalable Corporate Systems Data hub solution based on Lakehouse architecture. Focused on delivering secure solutions with component reusability, enabling high-performance analytics and AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, strategic vision, and a collaborative mindset to drive business transformation through data.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and Deliver Scalable Data Solutions.
* Design and implement Lakehouse architecture using modern cloud-native technologies.
* Lead development of reusable data components, frameworks, and pipelines for Corporate Data hub consumption.
* Evaluate current state infrastructure and recommend future-state data architecture aligned with business goals.
* Deep Technical Leadership to teams and peers.
* Provide hands-on guidance in building data layers, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data stores (e.g., data lakes, marts, mesh).
* Ensure performance optimization, reliability, and maintainability of data solutions.
* Strong understanding of Data Governance practices and setting it up for Finance Management Group.
* Partner with business, operations, and technology teams to co-create data solutions that drive measurable impact.
* Align data architecture with enterprise governance, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
* Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data professionals.
* Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
* Institutionalize best practices in data engineering and architecture.
* Contribute to research and experimentation efforts, including hackathons and prototypes.
Required Skills:
* 8 - 10+ years' experience building data solutions development, data architecture, and engineering.
* 8+ years leading people/projects.
* 8+ years' experience building analytic solutions.
* Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade data platforms and solutions.
* Education: Bachelor's, or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Experience with most of the following: Azure Cloud/AWS, Databricks, Azure Data Factory/Glue/Firehose, SQL, Delta Lake, Spark (Scala/Python), Synapse, Cosmos DB, PowerBI, or Alteryx.
* Expertise in scalable data architecture, knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, and other modern data stores.
* Strong understanding of data governance, Agile methodologies, and DevOps pipelines.
Preferred Skills:
* Understanding of the Reinsurance space.
* Technical experience with Collibra and Attacama.
* Ability to implement descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
* Experience in insurance or financial services.
* Familiarity with GenAI, LLMs, and AI integration in data platforms.
