The Senior Director, Head of BU Procurement is the leader responsible for developing and driving the Procurement vision with key colleagues within the business unit that they are responsible for. Our client, a global leader in its industry, is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Procurement to lead strategic sourcing initiatives. The Senior Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies that optimize spend, enhance supplier relationships, and drive significant cost savings across the organization. You will lead a high-performing team of procurement professionals, managing all aspects of the supply chain, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement global strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services.
• Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis and supplier assessments to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Negotiate complex contracts and agreements with key suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Oversee supplier relationship management (SRM) programs to foster collaboration and drive innovation.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and value creation through effective category management.
• Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies.
• Develop and implement robust procurement processes and systems for greater efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful global sourcing strategies.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and experience in cost modeling and analysis.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Experience in managing multi-category spend and complex supply chains.
