What you will do

Your profile

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in Procurement/strategic sourcing and 5+ years in contract negotiations.
  • Expert-level procurement skills across the entire source-to-pay process, including supplier identification, qualification, negotiation and contract development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model costs and assess commercial proposals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering significant savings through contract negotiation, demand management, and cost-effective alternatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with procurement technologies and digital transformation is a plus.

For this role, the target base salary range in Arizona is $160,000-$200,000 annually. This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and the benefits described below. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Purpose

The Director of Procurement will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for all goods and services across Divergent. This includes:

  • Direct Procurement of raw materials, powders, machined components, and specialized services used in the production of 3D-printed parts.
  • Capital Equipment Procurement for the internal development and construction of Divergent's proprietary 3D printers—including motion systems, control electronics, high-precision actuators, laser systems, and other electromechanical components.
  • Indirect Procurement of all supporting goods and services, including software, facilities, logistics, R&D tools, consulting, and IT infrastructure.

This leader must interface cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Production, Facilities, and Finance to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of highly specialized items in a complex, fast-paced environment.

The RoleStrategic Procurement Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for both direct and indirect procurement.

3D-Printed Component Supply Chain

  • Source and manage vendors for:

Position Overview


The Director, Procurement owns the whole strategic procurement process from sourcing to supplier off-boarding for all spend categories. The Director, Procurement develops and executes procurement business plans and category management plans, partners with and supports the needs of functional business owners, and provide inputs to the creation of policies and processes to drive procurement forward, while maintaining our culture and supporting our growth.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related fields
  • 15 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in indirect categories
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading procurement professionals
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and convincingly in writing or orally
  • Strong cross functional communication and collaboration skills and experience
  • Expert in advanced functions and features in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Coupa, DocuSign, NetSuite (preferred)
  • Experience in supplier management activities (QBRs, Supplier Scorecards, Supplier Rankings)
  • Experience working in the Software, SaaS, IT, or Business Services industries
  • Experience in supporting significant IT and SaaS category spend
  • Experience in developing templates (RFP, Contract, etc.) and associated playbooks
  • Experience in rolling out a centralized procurement function to a business (preferred)

The Engagement Director has accountability to successfully deliver measurable financial benefit against aggressive targets in a fast-paced environment, ensure timely completion of tasks, and deliver the associated engagement initiatives within a predetermined timeframe and budget. The Engagement Director is responsible for meeting Maine Pointes commitments to clients, including delivering measurable cash and EBITDA, as well as meeting client expectations.

You will:

  • Build trusted, productive working relationship with client executive(s) to ensure ongoing alignment, effective communication, timely execution of tasks and deliverables, on-time payment of scheduled invoices, savings sign offs, and end of engagement letter of recommendation and client reference.
  • In collaboration with the Managing Director, ensure top three success criteria of the Sponsor / Decision Maker is agreed and signed off at the Decision Brief during the Analysis. Then tracked throughout the engagement to delivery Total Client Satisfaction (TCS).
  • Manage client day to day ensuring engagement constraints are promptly identified and dealt with.
  • Ensure client engagement, support and alignment with the engagement goals and deliverables.
  • Develop intimate knowledge of client financial performance and business needs to ensure alignment.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with the client C-Suite that drive more work and TVO journeys.
  • Elicit client testimonials, referrals and references at end of engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in management, supply chain, engineering, logistics, operations management, business or relevant field. Advanced degree preferred. PMP Certification a plus.
  • 10+ years of supply chain and strategic procurement experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading consulting or business transformation projects.
  • Prior work experience in an implementation consulting firm.
  • Proven success leading change within strictly managed budgets and timelines with trackable financial results.
  • Background in the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and/or finished goods.
  • Commodity Market Knowledge.
  • Experience with traditional purchasing processes is strongly preferred.

**About the role**
We are looking for an Executive Director Procurement to work in Lake Forest 3 days a week.
Drives vendor and stakeholder relationships, leads overall contracting, monitor and reports on performance for enterprise. Contributes to developing and executing procurement strategies and policies that helps the organization obtain necessary products and services while minimizing costs. Negotiates complex or high-value vendor contracts.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Contributes to strategic planning & goal setting for the function. Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
+ Lead and manage the procurement team, overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including requisition processing, vendor selection, purchase order management, and supplier evaluation.
+ Monitor and control procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-effective procurement practices.
+ Work with other departments to ensure that procurement decisions are made in the best interests of the organization.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of goods and services.
+ Monitor and report on procurement performance to ensure that the organization is meeting its procurement goals.
+ Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, systems, and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and conditions.
+ Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions and drive innovation.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success.
+ Strong understanding of the procurement process and the ability to negotiate effectively.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):
$133,593 - $199,476 per year
The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.
