POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Director, Program plays an essential role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day Scholars program for SF Scholars, including leading a growing team of six Program Managers as they work directly with Scholars across grades 9-12, driving overall strategy for Scholar advising, and developing and facilitating professional development. Staff Management & Development

    • Two 10th Grade Program Managers (12 months/year).
    • Two 11th Grade Program Managers (12 months/year).

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Director, Program plays an essential role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day Scholars program for SF Scholars, including leading a growing team of six Program Managers as they work directly with Scholars across grades 9-12, driving overall strategy for Scholar advising, and developing and facilitating professional development. An ideal candidate will enjoy and excel at working collaboratively with teams, developing and supporting staff, and defining and refining strategy to ensure program quality remains high and reflects the evolving needs of Scholars and the college admissions landscape. This role reports to the SF Scholars Director, Program.

Staff Management & Development

  • Inspire, coach, develop, and support a team of 6-8 Program Managers through weekly department meetings, regular check-ins, observations, and feedback. Current team composition is as follows:
  • Two 9th Grade Program Managers (3 months/year Feb-Apr).
  • Two 10th Grade Program Managers (12 months/year).
  • Two 11th Grade Program Managers (12 months/year).
  • Create and nurture a culture that encourages intellectual curiosity and an inclusive, close-knit and supportive community.
  • Set meaningful, outcomes-oriented department and individual performance goals that meet overall program goals; conduct mid and end-of-year performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Program to set the Scholar and Academic Advising strategy for all grade levels.
  • Oversee Scholar enrichment programs strategy, partnerships, and implementation.
  • Serve as the Program lead for the Professional Experience Internship Program, working directly with Scholars and partners and collaborating with the Development team.
  • Lead Scholar mentorship program strategy for 11th grade Scholars including mentor recruitment, training, matching, and events.
  • Manage the Scholar Handbook to ensure policies and procedures are updated regularly.
  • Oversee the Scholars Advising website.
  • Oversee the tracking, management, and analysis of program data, including attendance and retention.
  • Support Program Managers in troubleshooting Scholar issues.

Professional Development

  • Identify, develop and deliver an annual professional development series for Program Managers across various formats including external conferences and webinars, and internal team retreats and reflections.
  • Support Program Managers with Scholar mental health referrals and advising support.
  • Stay abreast of current guidelines, policies, and social service programs to ensure that SEO remains compliant, and revise, communicate, and update SEO policies, procedures, and resources accordingly.
  • Partner with NY Scholars team on continued development of policies and processes related to Scholars mental, physical and socio-emotional health.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in education, counseling, school psychology, or a Bachelors in a related field and equivalent work experience.
  • Experience teaching in a public/private middle or high school for 4+ years preferred (teaching and/or experience directly working with high school students highly preferred).
  • 2-3 years of people management with a proven track record of leading diverse teams to successful outcomes ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with public education and youth communities in San Francisco a plus.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to address and engage with diverse and multicultural communities through different mediums, including in-person and through messaging platforms, video chats/conferences, and phone calls.

  • Monitor and effectively collaborate with the planning and operations team in the execution of engine production processes that aligns with the committed TAT & OTD goals
  • Responsible for ensuring all out of scope production, engineering and supply chain activities are appropriate captured under O&A claims, and are quoted for approval from the customer before the continuation of the respective tasks/activities
  • Be the key custodian for the management and accomplishment of all contractual and PO obligations
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of engine production and financial margin reporting
  • To work with the respective functional groups in the business unit to ensure quality of work and minimizing/elimination of COPQ
  • To ensure that engine MRO work performed meets the financial revenue and margins goals projected and/or quoted in the pricing proposal to the customer or registered in the contract
  • To lead the after-delivery review of engine production performance with all key stakeholders to look for opportunity for continuous improvement in TAT, OTD, COPQ and margins
  • To lead the effort in following up with the customer after engine delivery to solicit feedback for continuous improvement opportunities
  • To work with planning and finance team in the progressive revenue recognition process
  • To lead in the organizing of regular program reviews with customers
  • To develop key performance metrices and Service Level Agreements to drive program team performance and shape behavior towards that of a high performing team
  • Prepares, generates and distributes quotations, order acknowledgements and invoices for parts sales.
  • Receives, evaluates and responds to customer inquiries for products and services.
  • Coordinates with the management team to develop sales terms and conditions, customer relationship development
  • Maintains control of negotiated sales or procurement contracts and communicates results to appropriate corporate personnel.

Salary Range:

$134,640 $168,300

Position Description

America Votes is seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Campaigns Director, Programs to lead America Votes' national voter engagement programs.

The Deputy will ensure America Votes' programs, including voter registration, Get Out the Vote, election administration and voting rights, and the best tactics to directly engage voters such as canvass, mail, and phones are embedded in America Votes' plans to win.

The Deputy Director will take the lead on America Votes' coordination with partners and allies on the national voter engagement programs and work directly on the strategy and partner coordination in a set of key races.

Reporting to the Campaigns Director, the Deputy will also play a key role on national electoral priorities that fall outside its current core states.

The ideal candidate has built winning voter contact campaigns in multiple states and brings expertise in planning and executing the tactics needed to engage voters and key constituencies throughout the cycle, experience with vendor management and excels at coalition work.

Key Responsibilities

Location and Travel

This position can be located in Washington, DC or remote; if remote, there is a preference for candidates residing in a state where America Votes currently has state operations.


The Deputy Campaigns Director should expect to travel 30-35% of their time.


Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $150,000 annually and is non-negotiable.

General Description: The Assistant Director of the LGBTQ Student Center serves as an essential member of the Student Life team and has direct reporting responsibility to the Director of the LGBTQ Student Center. The LGBTQ Student Centerprovides support and fosters belonging of students, faculty, staff, and alumni inclusive of all genders, expressions, and orientations. The center focuses on education and outreach, programming, intergroup engagement, empowerment, and advocacy for increasedvisibility in the university community.The Department serves as an integral part of the Division of Student Affairs and Student Life, and works closely with the Department of Student Activities and Student Organizations, Department of Orientation and Commuter Student Involvement, Multicultural Student Affairs, Butler Center for Service and Leadership, and Student Center Complex. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the management, oversight, and assessment of the center’s programming and educational initiatives. Responsible for the advisement and management of the Center’s student assistant and student organizations sponsored by the LGBTQ Student Center. Responsible for the advisement and management of several of the advocacy programs, educational initiatives, and leadership conferences/symposiums sponsored by the LGBTQ Student Center. Assists the Director with oversight and implementation of strategic planning initiatives regarding engagement, belonging, education and LGBTQ+ identity development. Develop monthly reports, updates, conduct assessments,andsemesterand annual program reports. Manages the day-to-day operations and provides support and assistance with the direct and indirect advisement of student leadership and LGBTQ+ identity-based organizations, advocacy groups, programming boards and action committees affiliated with the LGBTQ Student Center. Coordinates the departmental calendar of programs and events. Develops and implements University-wide awareness programs to educate the campus community about LGBTQ+ identities and student leadership opportunities on campus and within the community. Collaborates with Multicultural Student Affairs, the academic schools and colleges and administrative units to develop innovative initiatives that further develop partnerships with community advocacy agencies. Works with the Director to create additional avenues to augment education and belonging on campus. Manages the day-to-day operations of student employees who execute programming initiatives, assist with office functions, and customer service. Responsible for training, hiring, and evaluation of student employees. Utilizes social media platforms to promote and connect students to the community and services provided by LGBTQ Student Center. Produces publications as needed to promote programs and services for the LGBTQ Student Center. Establishes and coordinates ways to celebrate and reward student resilience and leadership through recognition. Responsible for the design and publishing of a bi-weekly community e-newsletter called the Pride Press, to ensure students are informed about various LGBTQ+ activities and services through listserv notices, Engage, postings in the office and direct communication with student organizations. In collaboration with Director, staff and designated committees, design, plan, and coordinate the signature events including LGBTQ+ History Month, the IBIS Network Leadership Program, Miami Beach Pride, Campus Pride Month, and Lavender Celebration. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and constituents; manage student learning outcomes, and assessment. Design, plan and coordinate the IBIS Ally Training Certificate an intensive and interactive educational training of campus allies. Design, plan, and coordinate educational and visibility events, including: Rainbow Carnival, World AIDS Day, Service projects, Coming Out Day, Day of Silence. Assists in the coordination of various student groups events including: SpectrUM, oStem Transcendence and HangOUT. Annual events include: Coming Out Week, TDOR and TDOR Week, DragOUT, and Pride Awareness Week. Collaborates with designated campus liaisons and the Student Life team to execute programming. In consultation with the Director, evaluates effectiveness and objectives for campus engagement activities and events through the development and implementation of assessment instruments. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director. People Management Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates student employees in the office. Sets developmental goals and plans with student employees each semester to maximize performance. Assists with student employee training initiatives (i.e. retreats and mid-year trainings) in conjunction with the Director and provides daily supervision. Oversight of the center’s Engage portal and communicates regularly and effectively with affiliated community agencies and student groups. Plan semester student leadership trainings for various student groups advised. Provide advising, information, referrals,and advocacy to students Supports office-related educational research, events, programs,and projects. Financial Responsibility Serves as budget signatory and provide oversight for budgets for student groups. Assists the Director in ensuring that all students groups and office programs comply with all institutional policies and procedures, including ensuring that they operate within the parameters of funds allocated. Engages in the research and development of grant proposals. Assists the Director in the preparation, follow-up, and implementation of any proposals specifically as it relates to reconciling financial obligations. Decision-Making/Strategy Contributes ideas and viewpoints to the Director on operational and strategic plans for the department, campus/community programs and events as well as collaborative partnerships. Makes daily independent decisions to ensure department objectives are met and that University policies and procedures are followed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to operate professionally and autonomously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other programs. Demonstrated ability to thrive within a team structure. Responsive and timely decision making. Education & Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements): Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Higher Education Administration or related field. Two (2) years of progressive related experience in Higher Education/Student Affairs or related field. Programming experience in Higher Education. Expectation to work some nights and weekends throughout the year.
