The Director of Rehabilitation Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This position is responsible for overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation services while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF.
This role holds 24-hour accountability for department management, team development, quality initiatives, and clinical outcomes. **Responsibilities**
The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is a member of the Rehabilitation Leadership Council, and participates in the establishment of policies and procedures for all IP therapy services. Specific Duties
+ Ensures the design of patient care services provided within the therapy departments is appropriate to the scope and level of care for the patients served.
+ Recruits, selects, directs and supports the activities of the Clinical Managers in the therapy departments within the assigned facility.
+ Develops programs to promote the recruitment, retention, and continuing education of all staff members in conjunction with the Clinical Managers, Directors of Rehab Therapy Services across the Division, HR and the Director of Education.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Current state licensure as a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist required. (For Speech discipline: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association required.)
+ A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a therapist in an acute rehab setting, including a minimum of five years supervisory experience required.
+ Certified BLS required within 90 days of hire or promotion.
**Preferred Experience**
+ Master's Degree or higher preferred.

Job DescriptionThe Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is inviting applications for the position of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of PM&R (Non-Tenure Track) with a focus on Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering outstanding outpatient rehabilitation services at Capital Region Medical Center (CRMC) in Jefferson City.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of our faculty, the successful candidate will play a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care across various settings. Key responsibilities include:
- Perform acute care consults at Capital Region Medical Center, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address urgent medical needs.
- Administer inpatient rehabilitation care within the CRMC 14-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, focusing on optimizing patient recovery and functionality.
- Provide outpatient services, addressing follow-up needs for patients who have undergone acute care and inpatient rehabilitation at CRMC.
- Conduct outpatient Musculoskeletal (MSK) care utilizing advanced techniques, including ultrasound, to diagnose and treat a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Administer outpatient Electromyography (EMG) services, employing specialized diagnostic procedures to assess nerve and muscle function.

Job Summary
The Director of Rehabilitation and Wellness Services directs and administers all aspects of Rehabilitative Care and Wellness programs and services with the hospital. The Director collaborates with the Medical Staff, Administration and Nursing Services to provide administrative support for development and implementation of goals and objectives, to include annual program evaluation. The Director coordinates and oversees participation of all relevant disciplines in program implementation; is responsible for development, coordination, evaluation and management of the department. The Director is actively involved in marketing Physical Therapy and Wellness services to physicians and the community. The Director participates in direct patient care as warranted by patient load and/or census.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required. Master's degree required.
Minimum Experience Requirement
Minimum five (5) years as a Licensed Physical Therapist in a clinical care or home care setting required. Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including spreadsheet analysis, presentation graphics and word processing. Highly developed oral, written and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization, patients, families and external individuals, groups and agencies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make appropriate decisions to assure completion of tasks on time. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. Appropriate professional demeanor to represent AAMC to internal and external constituents. Ability to work under stress. Ability to solve problems of a complex nature. Ability to multitask.
Minimum License Requirement
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist, must be in good standing for the State of South Carolina required. Current BLS Certification prior to delivering patient care.

Supervises and coordinates the daily operations and staff of rehabilitation services including the monitoring/administering of patient evaluations and quality of care in accordance with the written and signed prescription and/or referral of a physician or other State authorized practitioner.
Job Responsibility
+ Promotes Rehabilitation Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
+ Leads the activities of assigned Rehabilitation Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
+ Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff.
+ Coordinates patient scheduling.
+ Supervises quality assurance activities and maintains related documentation.
+ Participates in the development of the annual operating budget.
+ Participates in the development and implementation of pertinent policies and procedures.
+ Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
+ Ensures the operation and maintenance of equipment.

Job Qualification
+ Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
+ Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State, or Current License to practice as a Registered Occupational Therapist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
+ 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $98,300-$170,100/year
