The Visual Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for servicing Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club resort locations, managing visual merchandising projects, creating and executing planograms, coordinating logistics for product movement to ships and resorts, traveling as needed (domestic and international), and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective merchandising and communication.
This is an onsite position based out of Lake Buena Vista, FL.
You will report to the Manager, Visual Merchandising.
Responsibilities/You Will:
+ Develop and execute visual merchandising plans, including planograms, directive packets, and floor sets for DCL ships and DVC resorts.
+ Maintain visual merchandising standards through product placement, adjacencies, photo documentation, and window displays.
+ Contribute to the creative process by developing strategies for interior design and window display concepts at project locations.
+ Manage logistics for shipping and receiving project materials, coordinating delivery schedules and offsite storage.
+ Maintain project calendars and floor set schedules, ensuring timely execution of signage rollouts, window installations, and store development initiatives.
+ Support daily merchandising needs across multiple locations and events, including implementation of key merchandise initiatives and propping.
+ Provide actionable feedback from site walkthroughs to enhance strategic planning and uphold merchandising standards.
+ Collaborate with Operations and Location Strategy partners to train teams, maintain standards, and uphold guidelines.
+ Communicate regularly with key partners and vendors to align on merchandise logistics and calendar priorities.
+ Use key performance indicators to prioritize tasks and make informed business decisions.
+ Ensure systematic organization and maintenance of company assets, including hardware and fixtures.
+ Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism when working independently or as part of a team, offering guidance and support as needed.
+ Adhere to all organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
+ Willingness to travel and work occasional weekends and holidays based on project needs.
Basic Qualifications/You Have:
+ 2+ years of experience in retail and visual merchandising, including hands-on execution of floor sets and a strong understanding of store operations.
+ Skilled in planogram development and preparation of visual directive documentation.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
+ Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
+ Valid US driver's license and current passport, with flexibility to travel as needed.
+ Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Experience:
+ Previous experience in the cruise line industry
Preferred Education:
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree
