JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the oversight and direction of the Arbitration solution. This position is responsible for providing leadership and decision making to ensure high quality service is provided to account management, clients, providers, IDR entities and CMS client's internal customers and vendor relationships. JOB SCOPE:

The Director works independently and exercises significant discretion and independent judgment. JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* Bachelor Degree or minimum 5 years experience in the healthcare industry with 2 years in a leadership role with people management responsibilities.
* Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable.
* Excellent organizational, analytical and independent decision-making skills
* Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet associated timelines

The salary range for this position is $90-130K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.

The Role:

This position has a dual reporting line into the SVP, North America Franchise regional lead and the VP, Franchise Dispute Resolution global vertical lead.

The Director, North America Franchise Dispute Resolution will play a key role as the disputes point of contact for NAM customers. This individual will educate customers on dispute standards, field customer questions, and proactively analyze customer dispute trends to assist customers in optimizing dispute outcomes. This individual will engage with cross-functional stakeholders to address priority areas of focus, including fraud-related disputes.

The role is based in St. Louis, MO and must adhere to Mastercard's hybrid approach.

Accountabilities:

* Review and decision complex arbitration and compliance cases
* Serve as the primary point of contact and disputes expert for NAM customers, providing education and support related to dispute resolution and Mastercard Chargeback Rules. Meet with Customers regularly both virtually and in-person
* Gather data and analyze metrics related to dispute processes for reporting and to determine Customer areas of opportunity
* Create new or update existing Chargeback standards to ensure changes to the payments ecosystem are considered, including the increase in Fraud and agentic commerce
* Executes policies, applications, and technical requirements of dispute management processing, chargeback rules and overall Mastercard Rules
* Assist with customer inquiries and provide chargeback subject-matter-expertise to customers
* Ensure internal processes are maintained to meet service and quality standards
* Interacts with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Services, Account Teams, Product, Compliance, etc.) to provide support for new products (e.g., First Party Trust) and customers pain points (e.g., Returns Fraud)

Opportunity Overview:

We are currently seeking a Principal - Dispute Resolution for our Construction Consulting Practice in our New York, NY or Alexandria, VA office. In this role, you will work as part of a dynamic and diverse team advising and assisting clients on large and complex construction projects and issues. We are looking for experienced construction disputes consultants to lead and further expand our construction consulting services in the areas of delay and quantum.

You will be responsible for

  • Expanding our construction consulting work with a particular focus on developing and managing new client relationships
  • Providing strategic planning to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities and promote Exponent's service offerings and brand
  • Generating significant revenue to help build a profitable team of consultants
  • Overseeing client assignments; providing claims preparation, review, and analysis; and assisting clients through dispute process including litigation
  • Preparing analyses and expert reports related to construction delay, cost, damages, lost profits, and lost productivity
  • Recruiting, developing, and mentoring staff in areas of construction delays and impacts, cost and damages, and construction advisory
  • Promoting Exponent's service offerings by meeting with potential clients, presenting at conferences, writing thought leadership articles and white papers, and conducting seminars
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture. Advanced degree(s) and registration are desirable
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction claims consulting and construction industry experience
  • Significant experience in contract dispute resolution and construction claims, litigation services, construction management and construction consulting
  • Prior experience and acceptance in formal dispute resolution forum (e.g., Court, Arbitration) as an expert in the field of forensic schedule delay and/or cost/damage preferred
  • Proven business development and client management track record, and the ability to attract projects to support full-time staff
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
