Warehouse workers in this position perform distribution center labor such as:
- Material handling
- Pulling orders
- Receiving and loading product
- Operating equipment such as electric walk and ride pallet jacks, electric order pickers and forklifts
Requirements
- No work experience required - we will train you.
- Frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
- Frequent squatting, bending, twisting reaching and continuous standing and walking
- Good computer and math skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Must be able to maintain work quotas
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- High School Diploma or GED required

As a PetSmart Operations Supervisor you will work as an integral part of our supply chain leadership team. You'll have the opportunity to work in several business units such as order fill, replenishment, shipping or receiving. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leads a team of up to 30 associates in a behavior-based performance culture
- Provides necessary guidance and coaching to their team to ensure a safe, secure, and efficient operation
- Oversees one or more of the distribution center functions
- Responsible for daily planning, organizing and operations of a distribution center
- Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals
- Effectively communicates daily goals, recognition, and areas of focus
- Skillful at leading teams in an ever-changing environment
- Coaches and leads team to follow policies and safety standards
- Effective talent management through interviewing and selecting talent
- Communicating 2 levels up and across the business
- Utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics and anticipate and solve opportunities
What we are looking for
- Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career
- 2 -4 years of distribution or warehouse leadership experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 pounds

What we are looking for
- Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career
- 2 -4 years of distribution or warehouse leadership experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Apply basic instructions and procedures and responds to standard requests which may be written, oral, by headset or walkie talkie
- Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable alternating between standing, sitting and or walking for an entire shift which is typically 10-12 hours
- Willing and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment including but not limited to reach truck, standups, dock stocker and pushcarts *proper training and safety standards are provided

- Oversee daily activities of assigned shift relying on high degree of concentration and knowledge of the operations process, and provide necessary, daily communication with managers, leads, and all associates
- Plan, coordinate and advise department associates of work to be completed each day
- Oversee daily set up of machinery and equipment prior to production for efficient and effective operation
- Monitor production process to ensure smooth flow
- Receive and resolve operation problems for assigned shift
- Monitor performance of department associates to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures such as safety and housekeeping
- Give verbal and written reports daily to the production manager and any other necessary personnel to fulfill appropriate documentation.

- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
