Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented Senior Supply Chain Manager to support supply chain innovation and optimization of automation technologies across our Last Mile delivery operation. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, contract manufacturing, change management, and system supplier and/or technology sourcing. The Senior Supply Chain Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with our key suppliers and business partners to enable and support project execution.
- Review supplier designs and proposals to ensure that scope, pricing, and schedules support Amazon business needs.
- Support consistent work package sourcing processes consistent with Amazon sourcing policies.
- Facilitate suppliers understanding of Amazon global policies, equipment design standards, budget and cost targets, service and quality expectations.
- Drive suppliers continuous improvement and value engineering in support of programs performance metrics: quality, delivery, capacity, cost and safety.
- Monitor suppliers supply chain, manufacturing, human capital with respect to overall program objectives.
- Administer change management program that ensures program delivered per supporting commercial agreement with focus on cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of program or project management experience, with a focus on network capacity.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in network capacity processes.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum) and familiarity of SQL.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree
- Specific experience in driving process improvements in network capacity.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.

The Director of Supply Chain leads end-to-end supply chain operations, overseeing procurement, supply planning, MRO and services sourcing, sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP), and logistics. This role ensures the reliable and cost-effective supply of raw materials, including key commodities, catalysts, precious metals, and indirect spend, to meet production and customer requirements. It is also responsible for developing robust supply plans that balance demand, capacity, and inventory targets to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal working capital. The position drives continuous improvement in forecasting, supplier performance, cost savings, and process optimization while leading a cross-functional team and collaborating globally.

Principle Accountabilities

Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans aligned with forecasted demand, production capacity, and inventory targets.

  • Lead SIOP meetings to align cross-functional teams on demand, supply, and capacity decisions.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and OTIF performance; recommend corrective actions to improve service and efficiency.
  • Manage sourcing and purchasing of key raw materials, chemicals, catalysts, and precious metals.
  • Lead MRO and services procurement to optimize costs, reduce obsolescence, and consolidate suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure competitive and reliable supply.
  • Monitor global market conditions, tariffs, and trade regulations to mitigate risk and capture sourcing opportunities.
  • Drive strategies to improve inventory turns, reduce working capital, and align supply with business needs.
  • Lead supplier performance management, including audits, KPIs, and corrective action plans.
  • Support new product introductions and product transitions, ensuring material availability and minimal waste.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP tools (SAP) and data analytics for planning, scenario modeling, and decision-making.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to the supply chain team.
  • Oversee precious metal catalyst supply and reclamation, ensuring timely shipment, processing of metal reclaims, and coordination with Finance to plan purchases or leases of metals (e.g., palladium).

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) required in Supply Chain Management, business, economics, engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Masters degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain/Operations Management) preferred for broader strategic and leadership expertise.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including procurement, supply planning, and logistics, preferably in a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams (local or global) in a multi-plant or multi-site manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, production planning, scheduling, forecasting, inventory management, and MRP concepts and control.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and tool experience (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex planning and forecasting issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
