Description of the Position: The Distribution Driver will be asked to handle every task associated with the delivery of beer, wine, spirits, coffee and other McMenamin products and equipment. Duties include but are not limited to; transporting and movement of full and empty beer kegs between various pub locations and breweries, transporting and movement of full and empty wine kegs and cases between various pub locations and the winery, transportation of various materials and equipment. All drivers will be expected to maintain a clean driving record, work largely unsupervised, organize and schedule deliveries with little or no interference with pub and brewery operations, keep clear and organized records and forecast distribution needs. Drivers are also responsible for keeping the delivery trucks clean and well maintained.

Being a Distribution Driver can be hard physical work and requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment. A driver must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamin employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty.

Requirements of the Job:

Primary Job Function
  • Ensure the vehicle is fit for the road by performing and recording routine checks of lights, tires, oil, water, etc., reporting any defects, to maintain the safety of driver and goods.
  • Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely for optimum efficiency and safety.
  • Drive in accordance with the Highway Code regulations, and take responsibility for the vehicle, including security, and the completion of paperwork to provide a safe and efficient service.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle both inside and out to provide a clean environment for other users of the vehicle.
  • Deliver all orders in timely manner, and in full. Record any delivery exceptions.
  • Provide top-notch customer service, remembering that a delivery driver is the last face a customer sees and is a direct reflection of Tire Factory/Point S.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years of delivery driving experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and be comfortable doing manual labor.
  • Consistent work history/strong work ethic.
  • Must be dependable and a team player.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to operate company vehicles.
  • Lift/carry by hand, freight weighing up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Push/pull products of excessive weight.
  • Work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Meet or exceed applicable efficiencies standards and expectations.
  • Driving for long periods of time.
  • Will work in extreme weather conditions (Heat or Cold).

  • Work week: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. Hours vary.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the distribution center supervisor/manager.

The anticipated pay range for this role is as follows: $21.50/hr
**Distribution Team - Equipment Operator - Hiring for all shifts!**
Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Receiving**
+ Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.
+ Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology; documents variances.
**LUM Picking**
+ Selects products and quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places items into totes on conveyor belt.
+ Removes empty cartons from pick module as needed.
**Sortation**
+ Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
+ Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
**Loading**
+ Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
+ Uses pallet jack to load pallets.
**General requirements for all functions**
+ Follows general sequencing and process procedures.
+ Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
+ Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
+ Places incoming merchandise into inventory.
+ Conducts physical inventories as required.
+ Counts and performs basic math calculations.
+ Maintains productivity and quality standards.
+ Performs additional duties as directed.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
+ General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.)
+ Prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center a plus
+ Warehouse/Operations certification a plus
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES**
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet performance standards/individual performance goals
