The Fuel Transport Driver loads, unloads, and delivers petroleum products to our customers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The Fuel Transport Driver reports directly to the Transport General Manager.
Fuel Transport Driver duties will include but are not limited to:
- Comply with all federal, state and local laws/regulations
- Drive and deliver products to customers during various types of weather
- Complete required documentation (bill of lading, driver logs, mileage records, reports, etc.) accurately
- Develop and maintain a professional and respectful relationship with company, colleagues, and coworkers, and customers
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, office personnel, and customers
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck
Experience/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Hold a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- At minimum, two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience logging at least 130,000 miles
- Must meet insurability standards
- Must meet all DOT requirements including Clearinghouse Clearance
- Walk up or down steps and have no difficulty with heights
- Lift up to 75 lbs. from ground to waist height
- Tanker experience
Hours:
The Fuel Transport Driver works full time. Open Availability is required. Flexible to work various shifts, extra shifts, and/or hours to ensure business needs are met, including the ability to work various a.m. and p.m. schedules nights, weekends and holidays.
Salary/Income:
The Fuel Transport Driver is an exempt position and is paid on a per load basis
Shift would start at 12pm. Also would have to have weekend availability.

Class A CDL - Refined Fuel Driver - Lake Station, IN
Estimated Annual: $96,000-$04,000/year
Pay: 29.50- 32.00/hour
We are currently seeking a Fuel Transport Driver with an excellent driving record. Experience in the petroleum industry is preferred but not required. The right candidate will have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a minimum of 1 year's tractor/trailer driving experience. Our drivers enjoy the generous compensation and the excellent benefits package we offer, which are detailed below. Based on schedule and performance, drivers may be eligible to receive the below pay differentials:
- Night Shift Pay = 1.00/hour
- Weekend Pay (both Saturday and Sunday schedule) = 1.50/hour
In addition to pay differentials, drivers will receive the following compensation:
- Time-and-a-half pay for all hours over 40 in a workweek
- Safety Enhancement Pay (for qualifying drivers) = 1.00/hour
- Driver Trainer Pay (for qualifying drivers) = 25/day up to 500 + bonuses for successful post-training observations
- 10 meal coupon per shift redeemable at all company locations

Truck Driver is responsible for the operation of commercial vehicles in excess of 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight, to deliver goods to customers and operations, and to pick up material from vendors and other operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely drives on the road delivering products in various weather conditions
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspection sheets
- Inspects equipment to ensure safe operating conditions - checks oil and fuel prior to leaving the yard
- Secures load and/or inspects load to ensure has been properly secured
- Performs duties consistent with all applicable safety, DOT and Company rules
- Conducts preventive maintenance to truck and ensures truck is clean
- Maintains appropriate driving records, logs, and shipping documents as required
- Maintains radio/telephone and EOB Electronic On-Board System contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or to be dispatched to new locations
- Verifies shipping documents for accuracy, and obtains customer's signature on paperwork upon delivery
- Completes paperwork as required
- May operate a forklift to load/unload trailers as required
- Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy
- Completes training as required by management
- Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
- Performs other duties as required

- Minimum 12th grade basic education completed
