As a Driving Instructor on the AAA Driving School team, you will have an opportunity to make a difference in traffic safety in your local community by educating teens and adults on the fundamentals of safe driving. What you’ll do:

• Every day, you will conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training to drivers of all ages and experience levels as prescribed by the AAA Driving School curriculum and training program.

• You will utilize our driving school software to record and maintain student progress.

• You will have responsibility for evaluating student’s performance and provide additional support as needed.

• You will schedule driving appointments, maintain up to date knowledge of state DMV laws and regulations, maintain knowledge of safe driving and defensive driving practices and maintain all records required by the state of Maine.

What You’ll Need:

• Driving instruction experience, teaching, or education experience preferred.

• You have comprehensive knowledge of state and local traffic laws, ordinances, safety policies and procedures.

• You will have basic skills in Word and Excel to schedule students and complete reports.

• You are confident in your ability to interact well with the public and teens specifically.

• You have a strong motivation to improve safe driving practices of all drivers.

• You are flexible enough to accommodate the availability of our students, which means working weekday schedules starting as late as 12 pm during the school year and teaching on at least one weekend day per week.

Must Haves:

• You must be 21 years of age with 4 years of driving experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record

• Pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications:

• MOS 2016 certification
• Documented experience teaching/training adult learners required.

• Promote classes and services to current and potential members.
• Assist with studio setup and cleanup before and after classes.
• Potentially develop specialized workshops or series based on expertise.
• Deliver a portion of classes remotely or through hybrid models, ensuring seamless virtual instruction.

• Certification from a recognized yoga teacher training program (e.g., RYT-200, RYT-500).
• CPR/AED certification.
• Previous experience teaching yoga classes in a studio or gym setting.
• In-depth knowledge of various yoga styles (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative).
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology relevant to yoga.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and listening skills.

Position Title: Yoga Instructor

Duties & Responsibilities

- Deliver the Fitness Central experience to our members in each class.

- Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary.

- Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class.

- Report to class a minimum of 15 minutes before class to ensure the room is clean and set up properly.

- Begin and end each class on time.

- Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum

- Communicate with the Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operation status as well as scheduling and subbing.

- Ensure the studio equipment is put away, sanitized and properly stored.

Knowledge & Qualifications

- Instructors must have a current nationally recognized 200 Yoga certification.

- Have at least one year of teaching experience.

- Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification.

- Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and exercise modifications for all populations.

- Must have a strong speaking voice and be well-versed with cueing.

- Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education.
