**Overview**
**THE ROLE:**
The Category Manager, Global Product Sourcing will be responsible for leadingpackaging categories of direct spend across North America with the ability to grow globally. As the corporate authority for specific packaging direct categories, this person will be the point person for supplier communication, pricing, contracts, and strategic commodity supply decision making. The individual selected for this position will lead cross-functional teams and projects for 2-3 global categories to improve total value, generate supply-chain efficiencies, maintain the relationships with strategic supplier partners and introduce supplier innovation and technologies across all Herbalife business units.
In addition, this role will be encouraged to utilize their knowledge to improve and leverage Herbalife's buying power to source materials required for Herbalife's products at a driven rate and streamline material use across key finished goods suppliers.
**HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:**
+ Lead global cross-functional packagingfocusedteamson integrating and optimizing the global supply chain for sophisticated categories or commodity groups across world-wide locations.
+ Drive long term strategies for global, cross-functional teams to generate supply chain improvement and efficiencies through the optimization of processes, designs, materials, and suppliers.
+ Reducecoston a regular basis and be accountable forrealizing $500M - $1MM in related cost savings or cost avoidance per calendar year.
+ Develop global business plans and multi-year strategies with key strategic supplier partners to develop product and supply chain innovation and proactively introduce new technologies using key global partners and prospects' full capabilities.
+ Support Research & Development through conceptualization and development of new products by providing formula component costing, commodity expertise and supply chain risk assessments.
+ Negotiate and implements supply agreements with favorable terms to Herbalife.
+ Track market conditions for key commodities and work proactively with suppliers and with finished goods manufacturers to minimize potential cost increases and realize potential cost savings.
+ Access and engage executive level contacts at suppliers garnering support for mutual global supply chain initiatives and objectives.
+ Lead two-way communication with suppliers in global categories to ensure challenges and issues receive appropriate response and resolution.
+ Conduct the supplier segmentation process and negotiate global alignment to leverage spend within the multi-year global commodity strategy.
+ Close partnership with Packaging Engineering, ESG, Quality, R&D, Marketing, CI, and Operations.

**Qualifications**
**SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:**
+ 7 years of purchasing and procurement experience, of which at least 2 years is specifically in sourcing or category management.

+ Consistent track record of exceeding goals in cost savings and supplier performance.
+ Experience working in an environment where Sourcing is an influencer rather than a decision maker.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of direct import Proprietary Brand product data, including marketing copy, UPC assignment, packaging labels and trademark markings
  • Interface with China Sourcing office for compliance renewals and tracking for customs and certifications
  • Maintain data integrity between Bamboo Rose and Enable to synchronize data during SKU life cycle management and vendor changes
  • Generate reports from Bamboo Rose and Enable related to new SKU set-up, MOQ updates and transactional content for direct import items
  • Act as vendor in catalog review process, noting keep/drop recommendations, copy review, catalog page proofing and approvals
  • Attend weekly import PO meeting and execute follow-up as required on data clean-up as needed and to gain visibility into the global sourcing supply chain and operations
  • Third party warranty service interaction on product questions, coordinate quarterly parts replenishment orders and parts inventory life cycle management

A key part of this role is building strong relationships with Agents, Vendors, and Buyers to maximize our product offerings. Effectively sources private label programs within TJX Product Development area by building relationships with the Agents, Vendors and Buyers.

Develops and continuously evaluates the appropriate agent/vendor/factory structure for private label apparel.
Understands duty-free programs and documentation, compliance required.
Ensures factories are capable of production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Merchandising, Finance or relevant experience.
Proficient with Microsoft office suite.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel: pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Able to unify and clearly present ideas to individuals and groups.
Collaborative; works well in a team environment; strong communication skills.
Meets deadlines; responds appropriately in a timely manner.
Excellent multi-tasker, able to manage multiple projects/ programs simultaneously.

What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting procurement efforts for New Product Development (NPD). In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams on several key projects that will drive innovation and add value to Toro's overall business performance.
· Projects may include executing supplier, engineering, and manufacturing facing product development tasks like quoting and ordering parts, pre-production build planning, product launch risk management, standard work/process documentation support, analytics team support, and driving supplier cost savings efforts.
· Implement new ideas, challenge yourself, and develop new skills.
· Analyze business data to solve real-world supply chain challenges.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
· Currently working on completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in an operations related field such as supply chain, finance, or engineering.
· Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
· A general understanding of the Procure to Pay cycle
· Confident, proactive, and able to produce high-quality deliverables with little direct oversight
· Excellent written and verbal communications, interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Strong sense of responsibility and accountability - takes ownership and demonstrates initiative and follow-up skills
· Adaptable and flexible - ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities
· Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
· Proficiency with basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
· Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience in SAP or other systems a plus
