POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction and supervision of the Fitness, Raquet Sports and Aquatics Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable fitness center, providing outstanding customer service and a positive attitude. This position will leave a lasting impression on our fitness center and plays an important part in our success!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Clean all fitness equipment after use and following group classes
  • Count attendees to make sure we remain under the designated capacity
  • Assist fitness members in machine usage, general fitness questions and assist with sales
  • Maintain an approachable appearance and be friendly with members and guests
  • Adhere to and uphold Lake Bluff Park District Customer Service Standards
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings
  • Must be on time and dressed appropriately for work
  • Perform the job safely and in compliance with Lake Bluff Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules

Day to Day Warehouse Team Member Activities
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Gensco customers and fellow Team Members
  • Receive in product shipments, unload, and put away products in warehouse bin location
  • Pick customer orders, verify order accuracy, and prepare for delivery
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks
  • Assist fellow Team Members as needed

Warehouse/Delivery Driver Team Member Requirements
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous driving experience required
  • Regular, consistent attendance for scheduled shifts
  • Must have a valid license and clean driving record
  • 21 years or older
  • Must currently have a DOT required medical card or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
  • Previous driver/warehouse experience is beneficial, but not required
  • Must be able to provide driving abstract

A minimum qualification for our driver positions is that a candidate must have a 3 year clear driving abstract. According to Gensco policy, that means you must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • One citation for driving under the influence, such as a DUI or similar citation
  • One citation for reckless and/or negligent driving
  • One speeding citation in excess of 20 mph over the speed limit in a Company vehicle
