Mercy General Hospital Emergency Department is located in the heart of East Sacramento serving over 45000 patients annually. MGH ED is known by the community for its efficient collaborative patient centric care. The department is equipped 24/7 with a fast moving multidisciplinary team ready to admit resuscitate stabilize and treat those whose lives are threatened by time-sensitive injuries. We are accredited by the Joint Commission as a Chest Pain Center with PCI. In addition accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. These are a few of our hospital accreditations that demonstrate our continuous compliance with performance standards and commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

+ BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Active ACLS, PALS, and/or NIHSS certification is required.

Compensation DetailsThe base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $30,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. **Level I Registered Nurse (RN):**
The Level I RN is a new Associate Degree (AD) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) who is completing the Nursing Practice Orientation Program at 6 months of clinical experience or less post licensure. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Level I nurse is accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. The Level I nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services in an organized manner prioritizing safety and team collaboration and communication. The Level 1 nurse contributes to unit activities that enhance patient care outcomes. Once the Level I nurse and the Nurse Manager completes the six month evaluation and determines if the nurse has met expectations of performance at the end of probationary period. If all requirements are met, the nurse is advanced to Level II RN.
