Robert Half Marketing and Creative has a client looking for a meticulous and creative Editor to join its team on a Contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of scientific publications across various formats. Based in Littleton, Colorado, you will collaborate with writers, designers, and production teams to deliver high-quality materials that align with organizational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread content to ensure grammatical precision, adherence to style guidelines, and overall clarity.
- Review and refine materials across digital and print formats to maintain high editorial standards.
- Manage production timelines and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Conduct quality checks on layouts, ensuring proper formatting and alignment with editorial standards.
- Maintain and update style guides to reflect the organization's brand voice and editorial consistency.
- Collaborate with vendors, print teams, and digital production teams to ensure timely delivery of finalized content.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of files for publication, ensuring compliance with branding and format requirements.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance editorial processes and practices.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in editing and proofreading roles, preferably in publishing, media, or marketing.
- Expertise in style guides such as AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional proofreading and editing skills.
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and content management platforms.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities to handle complex workflows.
- Effective communication skills for collaborative work across departments.
