Designs the ongoing formal training sessions for learning and development program at the center for learning and innovation and other venues.
Job Responsibility
+ Aids the development of education materials and manuals; participates in the design and development of learning experiences; instruction strategies for new and existing training programs.
+ Designs training sessions.
+ Coordinates training program schedules with participants, instructors and facility management.
+ Designs the front end insurance plan code maintenance process; communicates insurance information to staff on a regular basis.
+ Develops the communication of educational programs to appropriate departments.
+ Helps in conducting needs assessment within the organization to determine direction of training programs.
+ Ensures learning facilities are set-up and ready for training program events including equipment; prepares and distributes training aids; instruction materials, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids.
+ Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification
+ Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
+ 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Serves as the education specialist for content areas within Education at Geisinger which includes Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, Health Professions Education, and Continuing Professional Development. Promotes and coordinates learners and activities to support education in a designated content area. Provides faculty and learner support for educational programs. * Assist with managing assigned territory/book of business; company expenses (i.e. travel, hotel, flights, etc.)
* Respond to all phone calls and emails from customers to provide answers/resolutions to compliance questions and information needed to assist the customer with achieving compliance
* Possess level of technology knowledge to enable you to utilize electronic technology to deliver and complete the onsite visit and upload customer documents/reports ASAP including but not limited to power point, word, excel, etc.
* Continuously study and maintain current competency in the areas of bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, HIPAA and HazCom regulations to enhance proficiencies as well as continuing to study CDC protocols for health care workers
* Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Preferred Education: in Associates or Equivalent
Experience:
* Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 2+ Years of Experience, in a healthcare environment
* Completion of 30-hour online OSHA training is required to be completed within first 6 weeks upon joining our Team; Completion of HIPAA certification at a later date upon joining our Team.
* This position requires being on-site at Stericycle customer locations and complying with all of the customers' mandatory immunization requirements, including full vaccination against COVID-19.
