SpeechCom Inc. is hiring a special education teacher-resource specialist (RSP ), with a Mild to Moderate California Services Credential , to serve a school district in the Santa Clarita area of Los Angeles, CA for the 25/26 school year.
Rate of Pay: $55-$5 per hour W2 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, maximum of 40 hours per week
Details:
- Start Date: Mid-September through June 12, 2026
- Manage a TK-6th grade caseload
- Mild/Moderate Needs
- Must pass LiveScan
- TB Test Clearance
- Must have CA teaching credential

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
- Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
