Job Summary
The Director of Service Learning at Sacred Heart Greenwich plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of compassion, leadership, and social responsibility among students. This 12-month position involves designing, implementing, and overseeing service-learning and community outreach initiatives across all grade levels, empowering students to engage with local, national, and global communities through meaningful acts of service and advocacy.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with faculty to integrate service into the curriculum, coordinating immersive experiences that deepen students understanding of social justice issues, and cultivating a school-wide culture of service, faith in action, and leadership development.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 service-learning curriculum that aligns with the schools mission and values.
- Ensure the curriculum integrates with academic subjects across grade levels, emphasizing interdisciplinary connections.
- Link classroom learning to service projects, fostering real-world applications of knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with faculty to incorporate service-learning principles into their subject areas, providing resources, strategies, and professional development as needed.
- Guide teachers in developing service-based lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, empathy, and civic engagement.
- Lead workshops, seminars, or reflection sessions for students to enhance their understanding of service and its broader implications.
- Provide ongoing support for student-led service initiatives, ensuring alignment with the schools mission and goals.
- Coordinate and support student participation in Network experiences across the Sacred Heart community.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education, Social Work, Theology, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Position Overview
RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Student Support Coordinator in support of Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) in Stennis, MS.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide specialized administrative support and coordination of logistic support activities.
- Serve as Interpreter for Spanish speaking students during non-duty hours.
- Maintain the personnel tracking matrix and ensure updates are entered in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the orientation, accountability, and issuance of security IDs for all students.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for issuance of all students Common Access Cards (CACs).
- Coordinate and conduct Field Studies Program (FSP) events for all International Military Students (IMS), adjusting for annual throughput increase of 15% per fiscal year.
- Assist with the yearly FSP Budget for review by the IMSO and forward to NETSAFA and NAVY IPO for acceptance and implementation.
- Coordinate with course instructors to write, proofread and upload International Student Academic Reports (ISAR) to Security Cooperation Training Management System (SC-TMS) for individual IMS. Provide any additional remarks on students’ participation in extracurricular and community affairs.
- Assist in the administration of English Comprehension Level (ECL) testing for IMSs. Record and archive scores for placement in IMSs’ files.
- Conduct pre-briefing for all IMS before departure to FSP activities to ensure they understand the objectives of the event. Brief escorts on their role and responsibilities, ensuring they also understand the objective of the FSP and topics to be covered. Provide IMS with emergency and assistance phone numbers. Inform the appropriate funding clemency representative of any significant changes involving participants, itinerary, or funding requirements.
- Provide technical support for programming dormitory doors and key cards.
- Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies, forms, and printed materials, and notifies the appropriate person for re-ordering.
- Gather all travel and medical records and other required documents form IMSs upon arrival. Checks passports/visas and compares with IMS International Travel Orders (ITO) for accuracy; notes any discrepancies. Escorts the IMS to their berthing assignment and demonstrates the proper function of room amenities such as safe, microwave and telephone. Provide IMSs with any necessary further instructions/guidance.
- Assist with locating and making venue reservations, in support of a 20% increase in Graduation Ceremonies and conducts all related supplementary duties for set-up and break-down, such as: arrangement of flags, chairs, lecterns, diplomas, and plaques; uploading PowerPoint of student photos to computer for use with projector and screen; ensures proper functioning of lectern digital display; and transportation of students. Additional tasks may include filing the role of Master of Ceremony.
- Assist in creating FSP Schedule for each class, ensuring all cultural differences are reviewed and handled accordingly within the appropriate Chain of Command.
- Perform record keeping and database management and create a class roster for each class.
- Schedule the daily and weekly activities for IMS and ensure changes are promptly identified to alleviate any discrepancies between scheduled activities and the Course of Instruction for the Students.
- Coordinate all travel and lodging requirements for students attending FSP events located within a four-hundred-mile radius of NAVSCIATTS.
- Attend official command functions and social events to include evening and weekends as required. Travels as required.
- Coordinate with the Supply Department for collection/payment for student lodging at the end of each Semester.
- Comply with Navy policy and procedures in the use and responsibility of U.S. Government Fleet Fuel card program, per NAVSUPINST A.
- Complies with policies and procedures as set forth in the corporation’s Handbook of Policies and Procedures.
- Write correspondence in accordance with SECNAVINST 5216 Correspondence Manual, when necessary.
- Perform data entry on IBM-compatible computers utilizing current versions of Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications like Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related programs.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Five (5) years’ experience writing professional correspondence and documents.
- Five (5) years’ experience in the use of computers and computer-related devices.
- Possess and be able to maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B.
- Five (5) years’ experience communicating fluently both orally and in writing in English and Spanish.

About the Role

You will ensure that KIPP DC's overall compliance with student support services regulations is 100% in compliance. In this role, you will work closely with our student support services staff, special education teachers, and school leaders to ensure that students with individualized education plans and 504s are set up for success by ensuring our paperwork is 100% compliant.
Location and Type of Work
This is a exempt position and will report to the Associate Director of Student Support Compliance. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support which requires this position to be fully on-site. This role is currently required to be on-site or in schools during regular work hours.
Responsibilities
Drive Compliance (40%)
- Support and train case managers to abide by Idea and local regulations
- Provide technical assistance to staff members in order to comply with the ADA and Section 504.
- Ensure student support services staff abide by IDEA and local regulations
- Oversee compliance of student support services files (100+)
- Own scheduling and holding IEP, SEP, Eligibility, and 504 meetings in a timely manner
- Maintain 100% compliance in the special programs special education database system
- Provide professional development and support to case managers (30+ teachers) to gather and analyze data (assessments, grades, observations, teacher comments, etc.) prior to requesting evaluations and input information into SEDS
- Work closely with school psychologists and other related service providers to ensure assessments are completed in a timely manner
- Coordinate the implementation of accommodations on state and local testing in collaboration with school teams
- Collaborate with the case manager and Director on due process actions
- Participate and support KIPP DC attorneys and attorneys representing students with disabilities
- Coordinate the dissemination and collection of Medicaid related documents to parents and other stakeholders
- Coordinate the alternate assessment for students with disabilities
- Provide technical support and training on the Special Programs system to staff (including case managers and related service providers)
- Facilitate and Serve as the Local education Representative in all MultiDisciplinary Team meetings at their campus
- Support case managers and/or chairs complex cases, including those with legal representation, as needed
- Take comprehensive meeting notes and/or monitors notes taken by case managers; records dissenting opinions
- Receive and review monthly reports on the status of outstanding IEP documentation
- Ensure and provide technical assistance so that case managers have the proper paperwork for meetings and that the follow-through after the meeting is completed timely and efficiently.
Ensure Academic Progress (10%)
- Ensure IEPs are compliant with federal and district regulations, goals are standards based and relevant for the individual student, and present levels of performance are appropriate and current.
- Facilitate data-based discussions to help the MDT design IEPs to best support student growth.
Perform other related duties, as assigned (10%)
- Serve as the face of the student support team at your campus to all parents, school leaders, staff, and community members.
- Distribute weekly memos to school teams and facilitate department meetings, when needed
- Facilitate small group and whole staff professional development on an as needed basis
- Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and meetings to stay abreast of current topics in student support services
- Manage small and large scale projects as assigned by the Student Support Director of Compliance such as MSAA testing or Non public program
- Serve as a full-time and engaged member of KIPP DC's staff, including activities like attendance to teacher/staff meetings, accompanying students on field lessons, assisting with student recruitment and enrichment activities, and working with other staff members to ensure fulfillment of KIPP DC's mission.

THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)
Reporting to the Director of Student Support, The Occupational Therapist is an essential part of providing our learners with social and emotional support. The Occupational Therapist works closely and assists Facilitators and Student Support Teams in planning and implementing learning experiences that promote intellectual, social, emotional and physical development in a safe and healthy environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Performs screening activities and evaluates specified related possible deficits in areas such as visual-motor, fine-motor skills, range of motion, activities of daily living, and sensorimotor integration as related to the students' ability to access their educational program.
- Attends IEP meetings for students with suspected disability in related areas.
- Develops and implements occupational therapy treatment and intervention plans that support the goals and objectives in the IEP, and meet the qualifications for occupational therapy services.
- Collaborates with facilitators and support staff in the development of a variety of strategies to meet the educational needs of students, including interpretation of related goals and objectives, related medical conditions, neuromuscular dysfunction, and orthopedic impairments requiring occupational therapy intervention.
- Provides related consultation and training to parents, students, facilitators, care team, and program administrators.
- Assist with occupational therapy program development and revision.
- Provides technical assistance in the acquisition, design, repair, modification, or utilization of assistive devices and adaptive equipment used to meet the specific needs of students receiving OT as part of their total educational program.
- Maintain required documentation of student abilities and functioning levels, progress toward goals and objectives, and attendance in specified therapy activities.

Department of Education to provide academic, career, and financial counseling to eligible students and to encourage them to pursue their post-secondary education. Participating students are enrolled at RCC and meet at least one of the following criteria: low-income standard, first generation college status, and/or documented disability.
Reporting to the Director of TRiO Programs (Student Support Services and Upward Bound Program Director), the Student Support Services (SSS) Counselor plays a vital role in supporting the academic, personal, and professional success of program participants. This position provides individualized advising, counseling, and guidance to students to help them navigate barriers to higher education. Responsibilities include recruiting eligible program participants, assisting students with academic planning, financial aid and scholarship guidance, transfer preparation and career exploration, as well as providing personal support to encourage persistence and graduation. The SSS Counselor also develops and facilitates workshops, coordinates cultural and educational activities, maintains accurate student records, and ensures compliance with federal TRiO program regulations. The incumbent must be able to operate and utilize technology to include the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, online assessments, Google docs, and electronic filing systems. Overall, this position is dedicated to empowering students to achieve their educational and career goals while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
