Role Overview:
Support classroom instruction and student learning in a K-12 environment. Collaborate with certified teachers to provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students.
Responsibilities:
Assist with classroom instruction and behavior management.
Work with students individually or in small groups.
Support students with special needs or IEPs.
Prepare learning materials and maintain classroom organization.
Supervise students in various school settings.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree or higher (preferred).
Experience working with children or in educational settings.

2. Library Media Paraeducator
Role Overview:
Support the daily operations of the school library and media center. Help students and staff access resources, promote reading, and assist with digital learning tools.
Responsibilities:
Assist with locating and checking out library materials.
Maintain an organized and welcoming library space.
Support students with educational technology and digital tools.
Help coordinate library events and reading programs.
Perform clerical tasks such as cataloging and inventory.
Monitor student behavior in the library.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); coursework in library science or education (preferred).
Familiarity with library systems and educational technology.
Strong organizational and customer service skills.

Duty Statement: Participates in implementing needs and services plans for participants by providing care and supervision of on and off-site activities according to individual needs, choices, and SARC's Individual Program Plan (IPP).
Educators report to the Lead Staff. In their absence the Program Director
Duties Include:

- Supports Program Consultants in performing effectively
- Communicates effectively and proactively with the Lead Staff and in their absence the Program Director with regard to all participant issues including situations when a participant becomes a danger to self or others, there is a sudden illness, or their behavior support plan cannot be implemented as agreed upon
- Responds to questions and issues raised by Regional Center in a professional manner and updates participant staff, parents and others as needed and within program confidentiality guidelines
- Respects the privacy of participants and maintains confidentiality of information obtained in the course of professional services as per HIPAA guidelines
- Documents participant instructional and support services using data collection and participant forms, prepares daily/monthly progress reports documenting participants' progress toward ISP goals & objectives
- Attends meetings as assigned by the Lead Staff or their designee, including participant related meetings, monthly in-service meetings, and continuing education opportunities
- Participates in the annual program evaluation
- Prepares special incident and adult dependent abuse reports as necessary and required
by Title 17 and Title 22 regulations - Performs first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and other emergency
services (e.g., evacuation during a fire) as appropriate to the needs of participants - Lifts and transfers participants as necessary; assists participants with transfers in and out of wheelchairs and safely transfers participants in case of an emergency
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists participants in the management of their funds as per (LIC405) Safeguarded cash resources/record of client's cash). Staff will allow participants to be as independent as possible in the handling of their cash resources

Educator Position Specifications:
- High School Diploma and six months experience providing direct support services to

manner - Good oral and written communication skills
- At least 18 years of age
- Provide three references from persons knowledgeable about their work with the
population - Valid California driver's license and proof of a good driving record (as evidenced by a DMV printout) to drive company vehicles and or transport participants or valid California Identification card (if they will not be driving participants)
Must have TB, health, criminal record, and criminal record statement form completed and

+ Travel: 30%-50%, depending on residence location. Located in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, or Florida, preferably near a metropolitan airport.

These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting & specific licenses required by states or cities.
