Requirements

Required Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Factors, or related field

o 3-5+ years of experience in training systems analysis, instructional systems design, or curriculum development

o Familiarity with DoD/Navy training documentation and processes (e.g., NAVEDTRA, NTSP, JDTA)

o Experience conducting BCAs, TSRA, or TSA

o Strong written communication and technical writing skills

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related documentation tools

o Active DoD Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

o Prior experience supporting Navy or DoD training programs

o Working knowledge of Human Systems Integration (HSI) principles

o Active DoD Security Clearance

Devereux is one of the nation's largest nonprofit organizations providing services, insight and leadership in the evolving field of behavioral healthcare. Devereux Arizona serves more than 4,000 individuals with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences each year across the state. We offer residential treatment, short-term residential treatment, a private school, community-based services, integrated care services, prevention programs, respite services and therapeutic foster care.

Located in Phoenix, AZ the Training (Learning) Specialist schedules and delivers training and development to Devereux-Arizona employees using a variety of instructional strategies and activities suited for adult learners. The Learning Specialist will monitor, evaluate, and record training activities as well as assist to create and develop training materials. This position will also conduct new hire orientation.

Pay Range: $20 - $2 / hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, with evenings and weekends as required

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required ; Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business or related field highly preferred

  • One (1) year behavioral health experience required; Two (2) years training adults preferred

  • Proficient uses in technologies utilized to deliver presentations preferred

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel)

OTHER:

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment

  • Must be available to attend new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) plus on the job training

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions ( or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions).
